I didn’t complete the 30 September Fakeathon prompts last year so I’m continuing it this year and updating the mons I previously completed!

Day 1: Dragon - A silkworm fairy bug that turns into a dragon

Day 2, 3, 4: Harpy, Faun, Selkie - A Grass-Fire-Water trio that work well if they’re in the same team

Day 5: Chimera - Calico cats that violate thermodynamics

Day 6 + 22: Mothman + Bigfoot - Digital cryptids, also featuring a lake monster and the Jersey Devil

Day 2 of @fakeathon-challenge‘s April Fakeathon!

Day 2 is America! I based this one off of the Liberty Bell!

#??? Liberring (Liberty + Ring) Fairy/Steel type Ability: Bell Ringer* Dex entry: Liberring only appear when true freedom is attained. It’s said that the bell they carry, when it rings, creates a sounds so intimidating that all fighting will be brought to an end. Liberring does not evolve.

*Bell Ringer: gives all sound based moves a chance to confuse, at the cost of slightly lower attack.

FAKEATHON DAY 12: ETHIOPIA CAFFIEND - Derived from caffeine, fiend

Obviously hyenas live in Ethiopa. But moreover, Ethiopia is also known as pretty much the birthplace of coffee, and coffee drinking/making is important to the culture. So I thought, why not make a hyena that's super happy cause it's always super hyped up on caffeine? Dunno if the electric typing makes much sense, I just thought caffeine = energy = electricity

Fakeathon 2020: Around the World

Day 2: United States

Wanted to do a cute little mothman Pokemon! Maybe not as fearsome as its inspiration, but I threw in some luna moth too.

Reflarva (Reflect + Larva) 

The Mimicry Pokemon

Bug 

Reflarva is very shy, hiding in the underbrush of dark forests to avoid contact with others. It has two large reflective eyespots which it uses to deter possible predators. 

Lunago (Luna moth + Imago) 

The Elusive Pokemon

Bug

Only coming out at night, Lunago is a seldom seen Pokemon. It flies across the sky with glowing eyes, seeking for light sources and people to be around. While not unfriendly by any means, it can be creepy, staring at trainers without making a noise.

Day 3: Selkie

Name: Selkreeper (Named by @seashuare!)

Type: Ghost/Water. Becomes Normal/Water when disguise fades

Ability: Disguise

Dex: Selkreeper Appear to be fearsome beasts that roam cold waters- when in reality they are very weak, skittish, and frail. Packs of them put on makeshift disguises out of discarded materials to scare away predators, but if they lose their cloak they are left vulnerable.
