wow, would you look at that!! solid proof that dceu films are actually way more colorful than mcu.

So, as expected from literally any video essay on superhero movies, there are unnecessary shots taken at the DCEU, but other than that this is a really great video and, considering I’m a comic artist myself, I feel kinda stupid for not realizing that this was one of the main problems.

I let out a very gleeful scream when this guy showed his alterations of m@rvel’s films because they genuinely look great. I said a while ago before I became a mod here that it would be cool to see m@rvel fix their problems and make watchable films so, the idea of them fixing at least the visual aspect of them is interesting to me.

I’ve got a friend who is a hardcore superman fan, and yesterday she told me she’s not gonna watch supergirl anymore. Guess now I know why. I’m more of a Batman fan and I feel so sorry for her. damn.

this is true, Cavill's superman has waaay more fans in the general audience than any other versions of superman in the recent couple of decades. it's just a fact.

Thank god for that. Hopefully WB/DC would capitalize on that, rather than trying to cater to non-fans, who’d like nothing but for Superman to return to being called an irrelevant, boring character on the big screen.

exactly. the dceu takes risks and starts conversations. its different, and exactly what the genre needs after 8 years of the m.cu playing it safe with the same visually homogeneous and formulaic trash.

not to mention, the only part that is “lighter” in JL trailer is the Flash. (Arthur is even more serious than Bruce for gods sake.) Think about it this way, if bvs trailer had shown more dialogues from Perry and Alfred’s sarcasm, it would have the exact same tone as the JL trailer.

I guess you're right. I'm just a bit worried. We'll see how it goes.
