Fake Steak with Garlic Melt:
It was a lot better than I expected. Having a predominantly plant-based diet, I was quite impressed with the texture and taste of this 'steak'. It was juicy, meaty and the garlic was a really nice touch. For someone less used to vegan alternatives it might be a bit much to get used to and the aftertaste might be a bit of an adjustment.
Butternut Cauli Mac:
Silky, smooth. Doesn't taste overly of cheese, cauliflower or butternut squash.. or of much really. It needed a lot of salt and the addition of extra vegan cheese but it was a nice plant based alternative.
Coupled with Tesco’s vegan garlic bread it made a very nice, albeit filling, meal. It could be better, but for a vegan alternative it was really nice.
