wifies literally faked his death, became the director, and started murdering parrot's friends just so he could keep parrot around to himself. thats not love, thats obsession dipped in grief and control issues. like yeah, theres history there, theres tension, and sure you could argue that its love, but at the end of the day, wifies doesnt want parrot to be happy unless its with him.
the core of parfies is this toxic, co-dependent dynamic where wifies sees parrot less as a person and more as something he needs to have, no matter the cost. he doesnt see parrot's new friendships as things to celebrate. he sees them as threats. so instead of moving on, he goes full villain mode and tries to erase the people who give joy to parrot. it's possessiveness disguised as protection, “im doing this for you” but in reality, he’s doing it for himself.
