wifies literally faked his death, became the director, and started murdering parrot's friends just so he could keep parrot around to himself. thats not love, thats obsession dipped in grief and control issues. like yeah, theres history there, theres tension, and sure you could argue that its love, but at the end of the day, wifies doesnt want parrot to be happy unless its with him.
the core of parfies is this toxic, co-dependent dynamic where wifies sees parrot less as a person and more as something he needs to have, no matter the cost. he doesnt see parrot's new friendships as things to celebrate. he sees them as threats. so instead of moving on, he goes full villain mode and tries to erase the people who give joy to parrot. it's possessiveness disguised as protection, “im doing this for you” but in reality, he’s doing it for himself.

Leo woke up to a blank room. If he could even call it a room. It was a space. A completely blank, white, space. He glanced around, hoping to spot anything. An exit, or maybe an item.
Or a person.
Leo turned around to see a figure in the distance. He examined the person, who was facing away from him. Did he know them?
Then it clicked.
"Nufuli?"
Thrilled, Leo stepped closer to his best friend, but suddenly stopped himself.
What happened last night?
"Do you blame yourself?"
He was startled to hear Nufuli's voice. It seemed, calm. Almost monotone. But that didn't matter, what was he talking about? "W- what..?"
Nufuli clasped his hands together. "Well it's quite common in this situation for a patient to feel a kind of, guilt."
Leo was confused, and to be frank, scared. He walked closer to Nufuli. "What situation?"
Nufuli turned around.
Half his face was gone.
"The accident."
Suddenly, a drop of rain hit him. The sky darkened to night, and a forest lay ahead of the ruins that once were called home.
The face of Nufuli was only illuminated by the moonlight and the stars.
"It's very common for people to invent blame or create a causality."
Leo felt numb. He had to do something. There needed to be something he could do.
What could he do? He couldn't move. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't think.
A star in the sky flickered.
"When in reality..."
Nufuli turned around to face him for the last time.
Bang.
"It was completely outside of your control."

nufuli rested her head on leo's shoulder, a calming wave of peace washing over her (and, she hopes leo too).
"look," leo exclaims, though quietly as to not overly disturb the peaceful silence between them. "there's constellation- over there."
nufuli looked up to where she was pointing and immediately recognized the constellation. "which is it?" leo asked after a while, genuine curiosity in her voice.
"it's cassiopeia," nufuli says without hesitation, but instantly regrets it to a mild degree. "it- it's named after andromeda's mother, from greek mythology."
leo makes a small, interested sound. "that's neat," she says in that voice that makes her sound like she knows what she's talking about when she really doesn't but doesn't want to ask about it.
nufuli recognizes it immediately and the small, giddy feeling in her chest drags her lips into a soft smile. "it's from the story of perseus- y'know, the guy who decapitated medusa. andromeda was a princess who was meant to be sacrificed to a sea monster, but perseus saved her and they eventually got married. cassiopeia w-" she paused.
leo wasn't looking at the constellation anymore.
she was looking at nufuli.
"go on," the leopard hybrid said softly, but the look in her eyes gave it away that she knew what she was doing.
"i-" nufuli looked away. leo's eyes were almost hypnotizing in a sense- the flicks of rich brown in the gold more obvious against the night sky. they were eyes that were hard to look away from.
leo tilted her head, like a curious kitten sizing up her prey. "what's up, nuf?" she questioned, leaning a little forward and nufuli had to physically stop herself from letting out an embarrassing squeal. "you're staring at me."
"n- nothing.." she murmured, attempting to spare a glance to her friend without getting obsessed all over again. "and you were the one who started staring at me first!"
leo chuckled softly, hand landing on nufuli's and threading their fingers together. she didn't say anything, and just stared back up at the stars. reluctantly, nufuli followed her gaze.
