Roddy White says his last season in Atlanta was miserable
Roddy White the former Atlanta Falcons told 92.9 the Game in an interview that he was miserable last year with the Falcons. This is not a very good way to land a new team, but the former UAB standout is still hoping to latch on a with team.
.“Yeah, yeah, yeah… I still wanna play,” White said, via CBS Atlanta.“ I’ve been going through my opportunities and the things me and my agent been going over, you know, and just fielding phone calls and seeing what I wanna do, what I don’t wanna do at this point in my career. I just wanna win. I wanna play for a winner, so, you know, if it comes down to it and I have to wait… to get on a team that’s winning, then I’ll do that.”
“I’ve been talking to teams about what my role would be and what they want me to do and what I know I can still do,” White said. “I feel like I can still play at a high level. That’s going to determine where I go and where I play next year.”
“Being released wasn’t a bad thing for me, because I wasn’t going to be on that team and accept the same role the following year, or then I would have self-destructed around there,” White said. “I would have went crazy if I would have had to go through that another year.” He continued, “I can’t play football like that, I was miserable.”
