The Fallen Sun Historical Timeline
important Terms and events:
Preylia: the world specifically referring to its state before the 1000 nights of hell
The 1000 nights of hell: the event in which the sun became black, began to fall, and its flesh created demons
The great Axsisym: the point after total human extinction in which Omni populi began to develop a new society. Greater time is split into BGA and AGA. But usually events are separated by the reigning ruler
A time dominated by humans, war and strife was sparse and all was usually well. Gods were worshipped freely but the most radiant and visible of them, the son itself became poisoned by a force of hate, the blasphemous tyrant Nihmos. The sun began to fall, shedding embers that became monsters, those demons would ravage and destroy the land. Fields lay barren and people starved, others bartered hoarded or stole. The last hope of humanity were 4 kings of this apocalypse who fought the monstrous children of nihmos. Andrnei was a stern king of what was called the last kingdom, he slaughtered a chimera of bodies with his spear. The lord of scavengers Denon was cutthroat but never let one of his go unpaid, his twin daggers cut down a giant. The war hammer wielding viyo smashed the head of a Minotaur but actually chose to devote himself to a higher power afterwards forming the church of the iron sun and welcoming all. Iphra, the one of them with no weapon battled a fierce dragon to the death over the course of ten days, earning the title fireblood. In the last moments of its lucidity the radiant sun ripped mount Trenat from the earth opening the mouth of hell but creating new Eden, then the creation of the null populi followed. It’s last pure flesh bound to armor, meant to tend to the gardens and cast light into the mouth of hell smiting down demons. The omni populi were made to have will, but all were made with a calling known as the great obligation. It’s either immediately known or discovered later. Those that were left had to scratch and claw for life.
Coexistence to The Great Axsisym: 1001-1050BGA
Those that were human died soon after the thousand nights of hell. Sickness, hunger, demons, no matter what it was they couldn’t last long. They called it the great axsisym, the shift in the poles of history that made the Omni populi the dominant species.
Reconstruction: 1-1500AGA
There was something they could build off, repurpose but also learn from. The Omni populi could reconstruct a form of society while not quite understanding the purpose of certain things. They made homes, towns, and eventually a kingdom called solastien. They started to trade, they have no concept of money so artisans just made what they loved, even those with an obligation not centered around the arts had time to dabble, or they took to other things like trying to rehabilitate and maintain what plant life they could, writing and preserving knowledge and fiction alike, they built a place that doubled as a fight pit and a stage for theatre. The church of the iron sun had become a predominant religion in solastein. There was also a fairly well trained guard lead by those who could naturally fight.
The discovery of the cycle: 1520AGA
Omni populi found that freshly slaughtered demon flesh could be magically and alchemically purified to be turned into a new Omni populi, there was a discussion about when and proper reasons to do so. It was decided that given their lessened need for resources it was ok to have more people than strictly necessary around for the sake of their skills and art, along with taking the place of fallen warriors.
The discovery of nihmos’s miasma: 1556AGA
At the edge of the continent an expedition team lead by Sev the world seeker found a dense fog like substance keeping the plant life barren, so thick that they couldn’t get through it without being poisoned. The field journal was brought back to solastein by one of the rookies before he died of the poison too. It had an interesting effect of corruption null populi extremely fast and heavily, Omni populi can also become corrupt through more prolonged exposure of heavy doses. It causes a violent rage and physical transformation
