     When the child had clung themselves to him, Duchess had a smile on his face as he knelt down to give Petals more of a hug. 

          “I’ve missed you as well, my child.” He voiced softly, more than grateful to have a human who showed him such kindness, it was nice to have from time to time.

Gaster wasn’t about to let Petals go without attempting further persuasion. 

He got up off the couch where they had been sitting and he followed the child out of the room. 

“Young one,” He said, touching their shoulder gently, “I know you don’t want to be sick... but you’ve got to rest so you can get better.”

He crouched to hopefully get eye contact with them. “How about we go onto the back porch swing and sit for a while? It’s still warm outside, and later we can have tea and watch movies, if you’d like.”

          “Lucy! Get back here!” Luke ran after his dog that had gotten off her leash. If he wasn’t in such a heavily populated area of the city he would have used his powers to get her leash back as well as her--but he still wanted to keep himself as a mettahuman secret from everyone around him. 

     So for now he was running to catch her.

Waterfall is all as it should be.. All except for the inexplicable stretch of seemingly nothing.. Nothing but a door anyway.. Said door slowly swings open after a short time and a skeletal hand grabs the side.. A very tired looking skele monster appears and grins.. “Oh.. Hey, kiddo..”

Dream blinked and looked at the human, surprised, before he let out a soft giggle. He fixed the crown on his head.

“Thank you.”
