A subdued Shepherd wandered the city of Pendrago. The comforting presences of his Prime Lord and best friend followed closely behind. Where normally Lailah and Mikleo would offer a comment here and there, the two remained in silent support for their Shepherd. He would have been wandering alone, but the duo had insisted on accompanying him.
Sorey couldn’t fall asleep. Not after that incident. The Cardinal’s death had left everyone on edge for various reasons. He would recover and never forget: keeping her death close to his heart. Instead of believing that everyone could be saved from the malevolence, now he knew the truth: most people could be saved. The Shepherd would do his best to save as many as he could in this broken world.
Their footsteps carried them to the battlements in the Northern Quarter, only to find it was occupied already. The air felt different here. Sorey had yet to determine why. It all centered around this stranger. And it left him curious.
His voice carried through the stillness. “I’m sorry. Am I disturbing you? I can leave and find somewhere else to be.”
Better safe then sorry.

At least he was sure Jude had eaten. Ludger shifted the now empty cooler on his shoulder, taking his time on the return trip now that he accomplished his goal. The trek from Heliord to Trigleph was pretty routine at this point; in was getting to the point that he hardly even paid attention he navigated the path. The monsters were, for the most part, easily managed, and the path was usually pretty safe anyway. Except...
Was that white-haired boy suicidal? Taking on a hoard of monsters like that alone was nothing short of it. He hefted the cooler off of his shoulder, pulling his swords from his allium orb. "Watch it!" He slashed down a boar, back stepping and preparing to guard. Fighting hadn't been part of the plan, but what was his other option? Leave the kid to die?
