For #wcw & #fallingforelhoffer‘s You’re a Queen prompt, it was no question I’d chose a Padmé #ootd! She stunned the galaxy with her bold fashion but also with her integrity, intelligence, & grit. There’s much be admired about her, but I truly admire how she knows to leverage her image to her advantage. I particularly loved that aspect of the @ek_johnston’s Queen’s Shadow, showing how Padmé adapted the literal defense mechanism of her Royal wardrobe to suit Senatorial style. It’s fashion as expression, protection, & weapon. 😍 . . This #traveltuesday, I’m thinking about how your relationship to & experience of places changes when it’s somewhere you’ve visited many times. Disneyland is an obvious one as I’m sure you’ve noticed how often I’ve been in the past year (gotta use that AP pass!). . . I grew up going to #Disneyland; it was our annual family trip through middle school. Bc it was a family thing, there was a certain rhythm to our day & we always packed schedules with rides, shows, & our own food. Nowadays, I’ll go for a few hours just to eat and maybe go on one ride. I’m finally going to restaurants I’ve never in 2 decades eaten at, and I’m rediscovering things at the park. Have you been to Tom Sawyer’s Island recently? I know it’s called Pirate’s Lair now, but I literally haven’t set foot there since before they rebranded. The Dead Man’s Grotto is actually pretty cool & creepy! . . DCA is going through it’s own transformation to be more Disney-like with Pixar Pier & The soon-to-be Avengers Campus. I like the little in-universe updates they’ve done with Spider-Man’s brownstone. I’ve noticed the newspaper headline changes between Avengers movies but these Iron Man posters & ripped Daily Bugle ad appeared after End Game. . . Went out to Yucaipa for apple cider donuts & a hint of seasons. It’s still a bit warm but I was finally able to wear my fave fall toasties & an @elhofferdesign Spidey-inspired crop perfect for transitioning from #spookyseason to true #sweaterweather!
