Whoa bro. Last time I checked Hebrew was the language of my Bible, just as much as it was yours. And funny enough I've had 4 Jewish people from Israel, who have had no issue translating for me. The verses I was getting translated were also originally written in Hebrew, so I don't see how that makes a language disrespectful to any God. But way to go around calling someone a dick from a 6 month old post, bravo. Really drove your point home
lmao wrong. The new testament was written in greek and a few other languages, not Hebrew (why do christians never know about their own holy texts?). Nor did christians ever speak hebrew in ancient times. Hebrew was the Jewish liturgical language. ARAMAIC was what was commonly spoken.
“Well some Jewish people are okay with it” haha get the fuck out. Guess what, they don’t get to give permission for everyone. I’m so tired of this argument- “Well a black person said I can say the N word” “well a gay person said it’s cool for me to consider myself part of the LGBT as an ally” no. Get your filthy hands off things that are not yours. You are a thief, a cultural appropriator, you do not belong in my space.
I’m not surprised you don’t see how this is disrespectful, your ignorance and entitlement are why your people have raped, murdered, and oppressed my people for centuries. Theft of Judaism is a christian tradition.
Early christians distanced themselves from Judaism, rejected us and our ways, did everything not to be associated with Jews- and then continued persecutions like the Inquisition for 2000 years. So centuries and centuries later, TWO MILLENIA LATER, you want to reclaim and reconnect with “your roots”? Get the fuck out of here.
