"Can I Play with you guys?"
(there's uh a lil story under the photo)
You stand by the open window, watching kids your age run around each other, laughing and smiling without a care in the world.
They came up to you at first, asking to play together. It made you so happy. They didn't care that you were a Bastard. But suddenly, it felt like that was the only thing they cared about. And that they didn't want to play with you anymore.
"M-My parents said we don't play with Bastards like you." One of them had said.
And that was all the explanation you got.
You've heard of the word Bastard. You've seen adults look your way while they whispered it, thinking you didn't hear.
But you didn't really understand; they were perfectly fine playing with you, even if it was short. It made you feel like you were a part of their group. But it was only after a day that they started to ignore you, terribly so. You can tell they wanted to turn around and talk. But just past them, you saw their parents looking at you weirdly.
Like they hated you.
You weren't deterred still, you kept running up to other kids you've never met around Avalon asking to play. It was always so much fun at first. But the second time around?
Nothing.
But why is it that nowadays, it's always *you* asking to play?
"Can I play with you guys?"
And no longer,
"You want to play with us?"
