Dean doesn’t normally cook. The novelty of having a real kitchen had worn off pretty quickly. However, he wants to do this right. Whatever this is.
He’s kicked Sammy out for the night. Told him to go get drunk or something. He just needs to talk with Cas. Talk, but where to start? He’s practicing as he’s cooking (Cheeseburgers, hand cut fries and some salad-y stuff to balance things out). Not particularly romantic, but food they both like, except the rabbit food. Romantic? Shit. So not there yet. He grumbles softly to himself.
Dean shakes his head as he flips the burgers on the grill top and checks on the baking fries. No. This is just dinner with his best friend. Nothing else. Nothing... more. No. Stop it brain. He’s not going there.
He checks the clock. Five minutes until he’d asked Cas to be down for dinner and Cas is usually precisely punctual. That’s why he’s plating the burgers up right on time and walking out of the kitchen, apron still tied around his neck because he’s totally forgotten about it.
