One night when Grell returns from a late shift reaping, a small box is waiting for him on his pillow. It contains the following: http://www.bellandbird.com/products/georgian-garnet-double-heart-ring
Nothing else is there. Nothing else is needed.
When Grell returned home, he was in quite a sour mood. Spring time, while it had brought slightly warmer weather to the nights of London, it also brought rain. ...London was rainy more often than it was not, but being caught in a storm while reaping was never fun. The red one's hairstyle was ruined, and he was certain he looked how he felt, like a cold drown rat.
He was muttering to himself as he entered his bedroom, lit a few lamps, then began to peel off his wet clothes to seek the refuge of a hot bath. He crossed the room a few times, without having noticed the little box awaiting him on his pillow. One he was in his rose embroidered bathrobe, with a towel folded over one arm, he headed for the door, but paused, something different about the scene that was his bedroom caught his attention.
His eyes moved to the bed, brows lifting with curiosity to spot the little box upon his pillow. And of course he was drawn to it. He glanced around to see if there was something else near by, a note, or message of some sort, but when he saw none he sat down upon the bed, and reached for the box.
The lid was lifted, and the moment he saw what was inside his jaw dropped, and his eyes widened. The reaper's gloveless hand plucked the ring from the box as his expression changed to a teary-eyed wide smile. "Oohh.." With the back of his hand, he wiped away a few gleeful tears upon his cheeks, before he kissed the ring, and slid it into place on his finger. It fit perfectly!
The red one was still grinning as he admired the beautiful gift upon his hand. He knew exactly who had left it there for him, without even having to question it. And though he knew his words would most likely not be heard, he spoke them anyway. "My beloved, thank you!"
