iris wasn't supposed to be out exploring that close to the eclipse. she knew that. but she couldn't help it - she was restless, cooped up behind the walls of the castle. what's the worst that could happen? well... okay, she didn't know the eclipse would open a wormhole. one that would send her to the past - 132 years in the past, to be exact: when 100 delinquents (and one stowaway) were dropped on earth, and the fight for survival began. back when her mother was a cold-hearted politician, her father was a warmonger, and the men who raised her were still alive. surrounded by faces both familiar and foreign, and with her only hope to return home a team of crackpot tinkerers, iris's life just got a whole lot harder. and she thought her relationship with her parents was complicated before...

oc pride challenge— day twenty-three: alternate universe ↳  sky crew: the band

the year is 2010. dru kane, daughter of musician marcus kane, is playing guitar hero with her two best friends, nathan miller and fallon steele. kane is singing, miller is playing guitar, and steele is on the drums. after trying and failing to complete the game, miller jokes that starting a real band might be easier. the joke quickly evolves into a reality. only five years later, with the addition of band members jasper jordan, bellamy blake, and octavia blake (now of grounders fame), their debut album, homecoming, launches nationwide. ten years after that - one member split, one member gained (late addition bassist john murphy), four albums, one label change, many scandals, one grammy and ensuing hiatus, one dru kane solo project, and one band baby later - sky crew launches their fifth studio album: praimfaiya. though fans were uncertain after a three year hiatus if the band would ever return, they're back and, according to kane, "better than ever."
