oh man though. assuming that even part of deacon's story about the deathclaws is true....she'd be such a kindred spirit for him. he breaks ranks to bring her into the fold, Dez would be so wary, not even letting herself hope that this won't be a disaster (because it will)

for all that Deacon lies and misleads and misinforms and keeps all his cards close to his chest, he has to believe in the possibility of redemption because if he doesn’t, that’s admitting that no matter what he does he’s still the same young shit he was with the Deathclaws and then what’s the point beside beating yourself blood against your past, right?

I haven’t played BoS path so I don’t know how much the rank and file ‘really’ know about the Railroad’s existence, whether they (like much of the Commonwealth) think of them as a shadowy rumor, less talked about than the Institute because for most people, the Railroad aren’t a threat. Misguided, maybe, but not an active threat the way the Institute is or the looming fear of the BoS with their angry sky-blimp and their paladins stomping around in power armor

BUT IMAGINE Haylen as a tourist, or setting up the occasional drop for supplies and chalked warnings and a safe place for runaway synths to spend the night, for agents to get a hot meal and some medical attention and doing all this completely independent and not knowing Desdemona’s the leader and ever-changing Deacon as her main contact and then just the endless screaming and how the world drops out again if/when she finds out Desdemona’s involvement with the Railroad

Blind mom complains a lot about how much everything SMELLS in the commonwealth. BUT it does help her pinpoint where smelly enemies are and it certainly helps keep people from sneaking up on her. She smells you before you even arrive.

MY BRAIN STARTED WORKING A LITTLE AND I REMEMBERED A THING!

Fallout 4 Dweet mom doesn’t wear her usual spooky lady makeup not because she can’t get her hands on stuff to smear on her face, but because she doesn’t have her stupid husband anymore and nobody else to do her makeup for her. SO she just lives without it. I don’t think she trusts codsworth enough to do it, and besides him she only knows maccready and he doesn’t seem like the type who knows how to do fancy lady makeup. She doesn’t really miss it at though, so it’s no bog loss. She wears cool sunglasses to cover up her blind eyes anyway.

AND Father Dwight wears her pajamas under her lab coat when she does science. She has slippers too. I like to imagine the institute people don’t like it, but she is old and can do whatever she wants.

Anyone have a link or transcript of when Preston Garvey makes you general of the Minutemen? I’m pretty sure he mentions something about how he can get you out of a firefight or hold a line, but longer strategy isn’t his strength.

I tried looking but am incredibly disgusted with the “I hate Preston!!!” and “another settlement” jokes and have given up
