Meanwhile, in the realm of “things that are broken in Fallout 76,” today it’s scorchbeasts. Four out of five immediately dove out of the sky to land in front of me, doing literally nothing while I pewpew’d their faces. The fifth I tagged so far off it actually managed to carpet-bomb me before also diving down to enjoy a face-full of lead.
The spooky event is back. We are ignoring it... because Wednesday couldn’t do it, Marc ain’t gonna do it with a slower gun even though it’s vampy. Also, the turret I put into the fusion generator room in Marc’s camp likes to shoot the wandering merchant who apparently really likes being filled full of lead. Maybe he’s reselling it.
And I got the “defend Dabney Homestead” scorchbeast stuck in the mall glitch, where he finally died clipped into the roof but area loot snagged his garbage drop. Fallout 76. “It just works.”

And yes, I had to find my way upstairs in a mostly-invisible building. It spawned in properly when a scorch smacked me on the top floor, go figure. Wednesday, have you eaten anything particularly moldy lately? Just askin’.
The whole “night is darker in Fallout 76 now” thing has gone a little overboard.
In truth, this was a bug that hit towards the end of a long play session during the recent 2x xp event. I hit VATS at the junkyard to plink a mole rat with the sledgehammer I’d whiffed half a second before, only for the sound in my headphones to pop and die, and everything but the UI went black. I could technically follow my friend around but I’m sure I was mostly just running straight into cargo containers. A complete logout to desktop fixed it... but hey, the map still worked! XD
A couple screenshots of a visual bug I got the other day in Fallout 76, where the game had a weird pink tinge to it until I logged out. I swear I wasn’t on chems! XD
