Does anyone ever think about how Ceasar's plan parallels the Master's Unity?

I never noticed until today that Morpheus has a long earring in his left ear until I looked at an upscaled version of his model put onto his wiki page.

At first, I thought it was unfitting for someone like him, but I think it might be a leftover from an earlier version of the game shown at E3 where his model was used as the leader of Shady Sands before Aradesh, who also has one earring (but on his right), was put in.
