Is This More than you Bargained for yet?
*WARNING* please don't read if you have struggled from anorexia sorry thanks
I sat in Starbucks tapping my fingers on the caramel latte on the tables in front of me, sighing as the staff always spelt my name wrong. Really? How hard is it to write the name Ida. I-D-A. I pulled out my earphones of my bag on the chair next to me saving a seat for my friend who was yet to arrive. I plugged them into my new Iphone with my Fall Out Boy case omg I know I know yes I do like fall out boy ... well that's an understatement actually. I pressed play on my favourite album ' Believers never die' as I took a sip of the refreshingly cold latte. I didn't really care much for normal coffee but Starbucks? Well that was a different matter!
As the song switched to my all time favourite song - Sugar we're going down- I mouthed the words which were an inspiration to me you could say. "Am I more than you bargained for yet?" My friend scared the living daylights out of me by placing her freezing cold hands on my eyes from behind, probably smudging my makeup. I turned around and embraced her in a hug. "Hey babes" Georgia called me I replied and told her to sit down , moving my bag off the seat. I slid her hot chocolate id bought for her when I arrived over the table and she thanked me and slid £2.50 over the tables I said don't mention it and she placed it back in her purse.
"sooooo ... there's this party.." Georgia started all the while in my head I was like oh god, dreading going to this as a. I probably wouldn't know anyone there and b it was the middle of winter in the centre of London. just the right temperature for a party I thought. her voice drowned back in but seriously as much as I love this girl she can talk for centuries. "it's Matt's party so him and all his friends will be there and I hear there will be some pretty exclusive guest so baby girl you are coming round my house before hand and dolling yourself up with me okay?" "yeah " I nodded smiling. I looked at her texting someone on her phone and I wondered how she plans her life out to the minute. for example she told me to meet her at exactly 11:31 today at Starbucks. I got her at 11:25, just saying. She is really the prettier one out of the two with her naturally straight light blonde colour and her pale skin suits her and complements her piercing brown eyes perfectly.
people say we're all pretty in our own ways I suppose you could say I am with my golden coloured long but unfortunately wavy hair , naturally tanned skin and green eyes. I'm unnaturally skinny as I was bullied in secondary school because of my weight although it was average for my height but I didn't realise that. I starved myself and exercised every single day and went for a 2 hour jog each morning, afternoon and night. I was determined. Anyway....
Georgia and I left to share a taxi to my flat I share with my cousin to get my stuff and then leave to go to her house. she still lives at home with her parents when she's with home from university, she goes to Manchester but I finished my art course earlier this year - we're both 20 but she is training to be a lawyer .
we got to Georgia's house and we popped into eh kitchen to get some snack ,which she would later force me to eat, said hi to her mum and step dad and then went upstairs to watch our al time favourite film together. Girl interrupted. I don't know if you've ever seen it but I has 2 of the best actresses ever in it - Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder. I wont go into too much detail but its about a physcriatic ward full of girls/young women but its just too good.
2 hours 13 minutes later of laughter, crying and jealousy we began to get ready. I used to work in a hairdressers and so I did bot mine and Georgia's hair. I tied half of her hair into a ponytail and left the rest down in a half-up half-down do and then began to spray heat protectant in her locks and comb through. I started to curl it - like Ariana Grande- all the while listening to Georgia's choice of music one direction it's not that I don't like them its just I think that she's a little too obsessive over them, well actually that's probably what she thinks of me and fall out boy. After I finished curling her hair I tied a ribbon around the ponytail and began on her makeup.
when I was finished with her I must say she did look amazing and a lot like Ariana Grande if she had brown hair - or even red like in Sam and Cat. She had dressed herself in a baby pink tight fitted crop top with a matching - very short I must say- skater skirt and a pair of Chanel heels. I was wearing a black dress which led down to just above my knees and my pair of Jeffrey Campbell which I adored!! they were the heeled boot type with studs round the ankles and on the heel. My hair was straightened then curled and let down and Georgia did my makeup in a smoking eye look and she defined my cheekbones greatly. We did look great , and we both finished off our look with matching black leather jackets -also with studs.
Georgia's mum dropped us off down the street to the house and we got out off the car and began to walk down the road and to the house at the end. we heard the music blazing already - it was fall out boy and I couldn't stop fangirling- it was obviously matt's choice as he always used to go to concerts with me. We climbed up the steps and opened the door to hundreds of people cramped in. Oh lord
