"Pretended Farmer Gets 5 Months in Draft Case," Montreal Star. May 7, 1943. Page 33. --- Dominique Petroni, 25, of Longueuil, who pleaded guilty to making false declarations to obtain an exemption from military service, was today sentenced by Judge Rene Theberge to five months' imprisonment.
Before the sentence was pronounced Germain Caron, prosecuting attorney, said that it was only by accident that the department discovered that Petroni was not farming but working at the Dominion Engineering Company at Longueuil.
