You seem to have a dismissive father. Were there any instances he had ever showed you parental love?
Well... Ah... Um...
Legolas was still young, only a child by human years, when a pack of orcs came upon him and his guardian along the borders of Thranduil's kingdom.
The guardian was instantly slain, leaving the young prince alone with no means of protection, save a small, child-sized dagger that was glowing brighter than the stars. Coolly, the child bent over the corpse of his guardian and took up the fallen elf's bow.
Within moments, the orcs lay slain about him, an arrow buried deep in their throats.
That was how Thranduil and his men found him - a young elf holding a bow, gazing serenely about himself at the carnage, covered in orc and elf blood, none his own. Not a single tear fell from him that day, or any day since.
Thranduil dismounted and, despite the very public setting, rushed forward to embrace his son.
A week later, Legolas came into his room to find a child-sized bow on his bed, and instructions from his father to report to the bowmaster for advanced training later that day.
You're reading Genji Monogatari? I just bought the book. I watched the anime and oh sweet lord it was good!
Attempting to read Genji Monogatari, attempting being the operative word here.
If you enjoyed the anime you'll probably be okay with the book, but perfect, beautiful, cannot-be-hated multi-talented Genji merrily wooing women left right and centre without thinking really gets my goat.
I just finished all 19 pages of your blog. MOAR.
MOAR is on the way! Unfortunately there just wasn't a whole lot of LotR stuff on Tumblr until The Hobbit became more relevant, but the queue is currently full and this blog will be regularly updating.
thanks for your elf blog. I love the elves they're so pretty that thranduil bugger destroys my panties everytime.
Thranduil has that effect on people. Or, well, he does now that he's being played by Lee Pace. Less so when people supposed he looked like this:
Thanks friend!
Hey someone asked if blue hair is real. It is actually real. Blue hair really does exist. It is said that some black hair is SO black that it gives off a blue sheen. The hair color I believe is called Midnight Blue. I have only seen ONE person in my life who had natural Midnight Blue hair and I oozed with jealousy. I have black hair too but it's gives a more grey/silver sheen. I wish I had Midnight Blue hair.
"It can also some shade of black which just appears to be blue [...]" Same here c:
