unedited so apologies if it’s a bit off...

The food crackles and pops in the pan and she’s not sure if it’s that or the smell that rouses him from his sleep but she hears JJ let out a small groan and turns to see him slowly sitting up and rubbing his eyes trying to wake properly.

She turns to him and offers a small smile, spatula in hand, ‘morning.’

JJ blinks at her a couple times, his hand comes up to run through his already tousled hair, his eyes focus onto her and Kie can’t quite figure out what makes his eyes slightly widen and his mouth fall when they do.

‘Holy shit,’ he breathes out.

Her first thought is that he sounds shocked, the next is holy shit did he not remember last night? He hadn’t seemed drunk, but she can’t be sure. Maybe she’s just created an insanely awkward situation where he hasn’t seen her in two years and all of a sudden he wakes up and she’s in his kitchen making breakfast.

This is not what it sounds like out of context, okay? But good news is I only have one scene left on this first chapter so you should see it soon!
