“You really shouldn’t be doing that.” It’s worded as a threat, though the tone calls it more an advisory statement than anything else. An acknowledgement of wrongdoing, and recommendation to cease that action while the villain still has the chance to. He’d heard something or another about Cataclysm, given the eyes and ears he had in the more . . . unsavory areas of society, the places that most heroes wouldn’t think to look twice at. Coming from humbleness himself, Koichi still considered them his people, no matter how far up into the charts he managed to reach.

And so the hero leaned over from his rooftop perch, peering down at the man tucked away down below. There weren’t many people out and about at this hour, and of the ones that were, they tended not to be up to much good. “Someone could get hurt.”

It's moments like this when Izuku forgets the existence of an outside world. Forehead pressed against his beloved's, he's cupping Hiroto's cheeks, gently caressing the other as he moves his thumbs over his skin to remind himself Hiroto is really here.

"I was worried they got you," he admits eventually, not moving away by even an inch, his whisper washing over Hiroto's lips. With the time they had to spend apart, it's not that illogical of him to not want to let go just yet. "Don't keep me in the dark like this again. Fuck the top secret bullshit," he stops in the middle of the sentence, letting out a chuckle before he presses his lips against the other's in a quick kiss. It seems to be nothing compared to the explosion of tenderness that came over Hiroto just moments ago, but they're going to have lots of time to catch up.

Truth be told, Izuku doesn't know how he's supposed to react, faced with such a heartwrenching (heartwarming) confession. In a sense, both of them share a certain similarity, the habit of being alone. But where Izuku had his mother— the only one he can remember telling him she loves him and cares about him like Hiroto says now— the other villain seems like he didn't have even that.

"Hiroto..." He starts with the other's name, hands reaching out to his face and hesitating for a blink of an eye before he cups his cheeks. This feels right. "I'm... I'm not planning to leave. I want to stay. And I want to stay in your life."
