In a universe where everyone is born with numbers on their wrists counting down to when they’ll meet their soulmate, send me 00:00:00 for my muses reaction to their numbers hitting zero when they meet yours.
Having just been able to part with another bloom and; hopefully, made someone’s day. It seemed as if the Unknown student wearing the television helm that she’d passed the blossom to was happy with what they’d gotten. In fact, she hadn’t even given them much time to process it before she’d skipped onwards to a post beside a window that allowed the vibrant lights from the outdoors to dance into the foyers; shining through the glass filters to bring the heat into the comfortably-tempered area. She’d spare them of conversation; seeing as the last five students she’d attempted to speak to had ignored her or found their own excuses, she didn’t really feel too confident in that going well either. So, with only the handing of a Forget-Me-Not, she’d scuttled on; leaving them to their own business.
Of course, she’d leaned down to pick up a small piece of glass that she’d noticed over the linoleum once the other had started away from her. Nothing was too strange to see scattered around in this Academy, given there were so many unique talents inhabiting this area; so, she’d just pick it up to ensure it was safe for everyone. Yeah! ‘But, after bending at the waist to lift the pocket-sized shard from its resting place, Ccieri raised it over her face; allowing the light from a nearby window to shine through it. It was almost as if she were pretending it were a looking glass. Though, something else had caught her eye after only a second spent beaming through the clear object betwixt her fingers.
There was a bright red number sequence flashing over her wrist; where the numbers that would count down her breaths until she’d met her Soul Mate was located.
How long had it been going off? It couldn’t have been the glass and; as per usual, the students flitting about were paying her little to no mind. Could it have been..? Oh, she wouldn’t let that go! Oh, no! This was her one shot and…well, it was always told like a fairy tale. Love at first glance, really. Sure, it was sort of laid out for them, but…wow. Love was beautiful all on its own, let alone involving oneself. So, having cast thoughtless glance towards the student who had just started down the Corridors, The Peddler made a hurried effort to catch the Anonymous Student. Bounding across the distance between them was easy, but, it looks like the fear of losing this chance had really gotten to Ccieri; given she’d rushed…well, too much. So, just as she’d scurried before them in an attempt to halt them, she’d lost her balance; toppling to taking a knee before them and instinctively looping her arms around the bottom of thier right leg.
Her eyes had slammed shut the moment she’d felt herself lowering, so, having grabbed a hold of something was nice. Even if she’d most likely put this student off and embarrassed herself all in one swift movement, it simply felt nice not to have planted her face into the ground. ‘But, she’d had a mission; after all. So, once she’d collected the few objects that had fallen from their perches inside of her basket, the Clown-Enthusiast shimmied upwards into standing once more. She’d been using the student who she’d held onto as a post and had risen by guiding a free hand over one of their sides; her ecstatic expression now replaced by a nervous simper while she’d leveled herself once more. Luckily, she’d dropped the glass before falling and was safe, but, now, she was faced with having to…well, look less stupid.
So, with a hopeful lifting of her newly-freed wrist, Ccieri pushed her sleeve up to expose the timer that had landed on its mark moments before; adjusting its place to position her upturned wrist beside theirs. Hopefully, that would be enough for this student to piece together exactly why she’d done all of that.
Though, her mind sure was running rampant. She would have been on cloud nine, were it not for the fact that she’d embarrassed herself so thoroughly already; and in front of who was destined to be tied to romantically, as well. They sure looked cute too. ‘And; given their last interaction, It may take some efforts from her side to bring them to feeling closer to her, but…then it’d be all the more worth it, right? At least now, perhaps, they’d have a reason to interact. Well, other than the obvious revolving around her title. It…should be nice. Yes. If they weren’t annoyed with her already. Oh, dear. No, no. Happy thoughts. Yes. Just…imagine! This was someone she was meant to be with. She may even get to hold their hand. Oh, that would be so wonderful..! Wait, don’t get ahead of yourself, though. Oh…she hadn’t messed that up too badly, had she?
