The Earth was perfection. I truly enjoyed it. I was worried cause I didn't like Rose in the book that much and I was for sure not rooting for them. I would roll my eyes so much at her but I truly love the maturity show Rose had and that's both thanks to the writers and Mim herself. Truly spectacular.
I also loved Kaew's storyline a bit more. I have been a Kaew apologist and while for me, Kaew was more valid, mostly cause of my annoyance with Rose, the way the redemption was done felt right to the characters. I mostly liked it cause it opens the possibility of Din having a support outside her partner and her family just like Rose has Moddaeng.
Din herself was perfection from beginning to end and I enjoyed her both in the book and in the show and I love how she was slightly a loser. We love to see it.
I also REALLY enjoyed the dynamics between the cousins, they were fun and it gave us a nice sneak peek of what we can expect of them. And I'm very thrilled to see their dynamics grow in the following shows.
Finally, I need to mention the costume department. I was in love with this show aesthetically. It was so nice to the eye. The use of earthly tones throughout it. The color coordination between the characters. It just was really nice. I also adore almost every single outfit Din was in. And while Rose doesn't have my style it felt true to her character. And just, the coordination of the colors made everything feel cohesive? I don't know if it makes sense. I really wanna see how they play with that in the following shows.
