yeah one of my HCs for modern falmer is that like, even tho they havent had vision for a couple thousand years at this point, most of them still smile and its thoroughly worked into tactile sign. theres other ways of indicating happiness of course and a lot of subtlety to the signing itself that shows emotions. but when you want to show “im very happy” in kind of a direct way you direct a friend’s hand towards your face and let them do their signing by your mouth, or just have them feel your smile in general. this goes for like some other strong emotions too really, though stuff like anger is generally indicated thru their more limited oral language

#this hc relies on the notion that their vocal cords are mostly degraded so their oral language is pretty simple and just used to #communicate concise ideas to a group without much room for intonation and stuff #famer
