francis / they/it/whatever / white / 24 / butch beast / 18+ only please. no TERFs/transmisogynists/transmeds, no pedo apologists. i post lots of artistic nudity and dont tag it consistently.Â
im going to quietly make a new account (art main, sideblog for talking and reblogs) and link it when im ready to actually use it and feel like ive blocked enough of tumblrs worst denizens to get by. in the meantime, look at my dog
Why are you not really active on this blog anymore? Do you think youâll come back? Hope youâre doing well
had some life changing occurences this summer and am majorly turned off about Online in general and my place in it. like i think social media is on the whole destructive to mankind LOL and a lot of us internet assholes are venting our frustrations with the shit state of the world by getting into online slapfights or âeducatingâ people instead of putting that anger and pain into constructive irl work (volunteer/community building/activism), which is less serving to the ego but 1000000x more important (and better for you!) than anything anyoneâs doing on tumblr.com. social media should be for fun and art and pro-social activities and lets keep it mostly at that
anyway i WOULD like to remake as an art only account and leave the rest of this shit behind, so question for followersâŠ.is there still no way to export your blocklist to a new account?
the Odomache, one of the seven high priests of the God of Warden, in ceremonial armor. Day to day wear is slightly more practical and less purple. lore about this role below
Background: The God of Warden (has many names that would mostly translate to 'God') is the object of monotheistic worship and the official religion of Wardenâs five city-states. Core dogma holds that the first man sacrificed God, and used Its body to create a world in primordial chaos. Godâs soul remains bound to the world and incarnates into seven âfacesâ, understood to be aspects of the same being. Each face has at least one dedicated monastic order, under command of seven high priests. The seven are functionally the ruling body of Warden, though each city-state has its own leadership.
The Odomache is part of a martial-religious order called the Odonii, a monastic cult centered around Godâs âlion faceâ. The role was historically mostly martial and religious, but the recent historical shift towards Warden as a state identity has seem the Odomache become a representation of the state, a living embodiment of its wholeness and sanctity.Â
She is particularly tied to the citystate Godsmouth (and the role likely derives from earlier practices before even the formation of the state), and is its chief military commander, and presides over all military rituals to ensure success in battle.
Young girls are selected for the role from the families of ranking soldiers. They are trained for their varying roles for about a decade and care for the prides of white lions kept in the palatial gardens. After a gauntlet of tests and based on their prowess in training, a new Odomache is selected by the previous one, and the role transferred.
The triumphant Odomache then sacrifices one of her lions, in a ceremony replicating Godâs sacrifice at the hands of the first human. She divides its body among the heads of the Five Nations of Warden, is painted in its blood, and wears its raw pelt in the initiatory Lion Dance ritual, where she leads the Odonii and her soldiers in a weapons dance.
Neither nudity or sex is taboo in this culture, but profound significance is placed on both (and the body as a whole). A state of nudity is understood as being metaphysically vulnerable and malleable, necessary for transformative rituals but profoundly dangerous. Sex (particularly receiving penetrative sex) is especially vulnerable. The gaze is also understood as magically potent and potentially dangerous (in the form of an âevil eyeâ curse and related beliefs.
All this necessitates the Odomache's body to be closely guarded (the other 6 high priests have similar practices). She will only ever be seen nude during this initiatory lion dance, after which only her face, hair, hands and feet can be exposed publicly.
The penalty for seeing an Odomacheâs nude body is (intended to be) death, at the hands of the Odomache herself, who will be anointed in the blood of the offender to be ritually re-consecrated. The only exception is other odonii, and her attending servants (all people designated women or eunuchs). Celibacy is similarly enforced.
As with anything, there are violations that go unchecked, but there are relatively few Odomache with known scandals throughout history, and all of these ended with their willing ritual suicide, When your body is symbolically identified with the health of the State, the People, and Literally God, the stakes are pretty high (and psychological consequences sometimes severe)
can i be honest for a second? i think its kinda dumb to attribute the law proposed in texas for that would ban drag queens from public spaces, and by extension any visibly transgender woman from public spaces, to arguments abt kink at pride. there has been a backlash against trans rights brewing for many years. and, notably drag queens sort of have never been a main focus of the "but there are children and nonconsenting people at pride events" sort of arguments. trans people have always been targetted as being uniquely corrupting for children to be around, its never needed the help of this stupid cyclical discourse we have every summer on tumblr. its been around before it, just as vitriolic and hateful, and itll be around after it, same as always. this is pretty obviously just riding the coattails of other successful anti woman and anti trans legislation getting passed, as well as being empowered by the growth of anti trans hate movements on both the right and the left
id have to read the text of the proposed legislation to know for certain what language and ongoing discussions its trying to coopt, and i aint doing that right now bc im already on the verge of cutting my own arms open this afternoon. but even if that kind of "kink at pride" type language was present in the bill, like, its kind of obvious that this kind of legislation was coming down the pipes, with or without "kink at pride" arguments, lmfao. i think its kind of deeply stupid, for people to see fascist political opportunism aimed at scrubbing a vulnerable and widely reviled minority group from public life, after months of successfully targetting said minority group with legistlation that cuts them out of sports and healthcare, and say, "this is happening simply because yall said you didnt like the dogmen"
like its kind of incredibly narcissistic to try and turn this legislation, which is an obvious, immediate existential threat to transgender women and girls, into a way to win points in your extremely online arguments about "is leatherman good? or is leatherman bad?" its not fucking relevant, frankly, and it really goes far to show how little you actually care about transgender women, that your first fucking instinct is to try and make this into an extension of the categorically useless pride discourse youre so obsessed with continuing every single year
That reminds me of that one infuriating post that was like âif you donât understand an academic paper, it probably means it was poorly writtenââŠ. Besties, romans, countrymen, if you donât understand an academic paper itâs probably because it was written for a handful of experts in the very specific subfield for which it is relevant, and as someone who is almost certainly NOT one of those handful of experts itâs not in your realm of immediate comprehension. In many (most? all?) fields if you take even one step to the left of your scope of research youâre going to end up spending a lot of time catching up on context. Shockingly, this is because thereâs a lot of information out there in the world, and you donât know all of it. That doesnât make you stupid, or the author stupid. No one has to be stupid in this scenario. This is a process called learning, just chill on it
i will never understand people who like make their fear of bugs a personality trait. not just like a normal person whos afraid/dislikes them but is COMMITTED to it. like will respond to things like âhereâs how you can Not get stung by waspsâ with this weirdly smug  âno, i love panicking and flailing and provoking painful and/or dangerous stings. i love being afraid of tiny animals that are everywhere always. i am emotionally attached to this fear and will actively refuse to make my life less miserableâ attitude. is this sexual for you?
genuine question for those of you who are comfortable answering: how old were you when you started using the internet & do you regret using it that young
