what are some of your favorite movies in arabic? i’ve only ever seen mawal (with sabah) and i want to watch bint el hares (with fairouz) but i can’t seem to find subbed versions online 😅

I wasn’t able to find movies with English subtitles, and I usually tend to watch movies in my target languages to practice so my Arabic movie recommendations may sound old but here are some of my favorites :
1- الزهايمر Alzheimer by Adel Imam (Egyptian comedy movie)
It’s a movie about some greedy men who are trying to trick their old, rich father into thinking that he has Alzheimer but their plan back fires..
2- عسل إسود Black honey by Ahmed Hilmi (Egyptian comedy movie)
This movie is about an Egyptian-American who wants to go back to his home country, Egypt to settle down after spending twenty years abroad but to his surprise, life there and the treatment he gets aren’t like he expected.
3- جعلتني مجرمًا She made me a criminal - Ahmed Hilmi (Egyptian comedy movie)
A young lady, wanting to get back the money that she inherited from her mother faked her own abduction with the help of Rushdi, a naive young man to get her stingy father to pay for the ransom. She convinced Rushdi that she is disabled and in need of a surgery.
4- يا أنا يا خالتي It’s either me or my aunt - Mohamed Hineidi (Egyptian comedy movie)
It’s a comedy movie about a guy named Taimur who is in love with a girl called Nawal whose family won’t let her marry him. He poses as an old psychic lady called the aunt noosa to convince her superstitious family that Taimur would be a great match for their daughter but things go out of hand.
I personally like Ahemd Hilmi’s movies in general, there’s also زكي شان
There’s a movie called الفيل الأزرق Blue elephant, although I haven’t watched it but I heard a lot of positive feedback (plus it has Nelly Kareem, and I like this actress ^^).
