roier and jaidens houses having the other’s colours surrounding them. jaiden having a monument to their family in her safe space, the house she goes to for comfort.

in every corner of the house there is a space for roier. her house was always made with roier in mind. her safe space was made to keep them both together. three chairs, three flower frames, three consistent colours. people try to complete a quartet around the table, and jaiden destroys the fourth chair.

it was supposed them three together forever. her and her boys, safe and sound, in a beautiful red field where nothing is sad and she stays hidden in a memory.

when she is gone, when she is never able to come back, roier takes up that space himself. tries to imagine his best friend by his side, tries to ignore the dull ache that comes with the loss of his husband and partner, tries to forget the new little boy so alike the one he lost. but that house seems cursed to always have one seat taken and two empty. it was built to house three but could only ever keep one. stuck in a memory, someone is always missing. fuck offffffffffff
