My wish years ago to acquire Richard Avedon’s 1950’s image of legendary Dovima in a cape came to mind. It was amazing to encounter Avedon from time to time in the vortex of happen stance which is the NYC design, fashion and art scene, there for all to partake in if one determines to look and take measure. To those collecting today, I would acquire this Avadon image of Dovima as it could be the cover illustration of the definitive book on feminism, so cloaked in positive, beneficial results has that liberating movement been.
