Hello there!

Here’s a FAQ to help our claiming process!

First of all: claiming is a first come, first serve process. Also very important: this is an anonymous fest, so we ask you not to divulge the prompt you are claiming.

To claim a prompt, you must fill out the form which we will post from this tumblr at 5pm on the 13th August UK time (currently GMT+1 because it’s summer time).

We will ask you for your name or alias, an email account for contacting you (we’ll send your claim confirmation here), the AO3 account you’ll be posting your work under, and, most importantly, up to three prompt numbers you wish to claim, in order of preference!

You will be able to claim ONE prompt during the claiming period (13th Aug - 27 Aug). The reason we ask for you to rank three preferences is that that if someone has claimed your first choice before you, you will be allocated your second choice, and so on.

When a prompt has been claimed it will be struck through on the prompt list. Please remember your mods are only human so we will try to update the list as quickly as possible, but don’t rely on that for information. Check your email to make sure of the prompt you have claimed!

AFTER claiming time is closed, if you have both finished your creative work and submitted it properly, you will be able to claim another prompt. If you wish to do this, please email us!

So, I finally did it. I created a side blog and worked out the kinks for some GaaSaku fic/art festivities. (Hoping there’ll be more in 2019.😋)

THE GAASAKU FAN FEST

Due to the time constraints, this close to December -- which has been my target from the start -- I’m worried people might not have time to do everything. So I’m going to let y’all make the decision on what kind of fest this is going to be.

There are two ways this can go:

An anonymous Fic/Art exchange with 3 prompts to choose from. OR

Freeform Posting (no prompt. Just a celebration of GaaSaku.) (Like the tumblr fest: multisakumonth -- check that out if you’ve never heard of it.)

(I’ll be posting a December, daily drabble prompt list as well, too. So if you don’t have time for the exchange, these fun, optional drabbles might suit you better.💕💕)

For the choice between an exchange and freeform posting: I have created a form for you to fill out to make the decision which fest style to do. If you’re interested in writing fics or doing some art(any medium, btw) for the anonymous exchange or the freeform posting, please head over to the form, here to have your say, AND provide prompts for the exchange.

(A link will go up on the fest blog, too.)

This is how I will know which kind of fest I can do. I’ll put a link on the fest blog on the side that will list the participants. I’m looking for an even amount of artists and an even amount of writers. (More on that later.)

Time Line

(This is a working time line, to help you decide if you’ll have time to do the exchange or freeform post on your own. But if nothing goes awry, I won’t change it too much.)

Sign-Ups: September 19 – October 5 Handing out Assignments: October 7 Assignments due: December (the whole month for the freeform, day 1 for the exchange; late submissions are fine -- more on that in the rules on the blog). Begin Posting Gifts: December 1 (first in, first posted; I’ll figure it out closer to the date)

(The sign ups is actually as soon as I’ve posted this post, but the rest is flexible: we all have different time zones -- mine is AEST -- but if you’re a little late/early, it’s no biggie. Allow for an extra 24 hours on either side of the times I have here.)

Thanx to everyone who has messaged me with ideas. I’m def going to incorporate them all at some point. For the first exchange I’m hosting, I’m going to keep things simple-ish. (There’s been nothing simple about this lol.😋)
