Finished binding my Split fan fic, came out so-so. I love the fabric I chose but I think I could have done more with the cover to drive home the visual theme of the movie. Torn & re-glued paper maybe? Was too nervous to experiment, honestly. My goal of 2018 was to bind a piece of work I’d written, am only a little over a month late... just happy to have it done.
Goal for 2019 is to bind more fan works. I love the idea of some day having a little library of unique stories that no one else has (in hardcover form at least). I think fan fiction is great because the authors are right there in the fandom, making their work feel more... intimate? immediate? than just some random piece of work crafted in isolation by an author. Am keeping my eye on several stories that are all in progress ATM but might/hopefully finish at some point... (@cookethecrumb, @wellclutchmypearls, @hailthehails, am looking at y’all)
