@fanaiceach / well it’s not really much of a comparison but 📏 6’4 twins height comparison hilarity
yeah but there's something to be said about no one in this line up having to strain any neck muscles for anything, and i think that's beautiful.

as much as possible, lewis had tried to forget the ordeal of his own transition from human to vampire. it was never pleasant for anyone, but it was especially traumatic when the maker left his poor creation to suffer alone. geoffrey is a new breed, alien to both sean and lewis alike — not a skal, not a vulkold, not even an ekon, but something entirely foreign. reid might have understood more, but reid, conveniently, had long since departed london. there was little to do but attempt to coax geoffrey through it, while keeping the new vampire’s fangs sheathed as they did so.
for all his usual prickliness, lewis was, first and foremost, a medical practitioner, and no man would get far in that field without a bit of bedside manner. it was with an air of softness that the welshman settled down beside the sweating, shivering man in bed. in spite of all of geoffrey’s previous hostility, lewis could not help but pity the man, forced to become what he had hunted and despised his entire life. gently, he used one hand to tilt geoffrey’s head up and used the other to press the rim of a warm cup against his lips. “ drink, ” he murmured. “ my blood. ” he dared not present geoffrey with an open wound, lest he drain him dry; a measured amount, for now, was safer.

-- Gloved fingers play along the side of clear glass, the scent of whiskey pungent enough to keep the mind clear from surrounding distraction -- a chair across the bar scratches against a cracked tile, laughter bubbles from inebriated patrons hosting a celebratory drink in the corner, the bartender steals a forgotten shot and pockets the extra change from a transaction, mindless rabble & the harsh whispers of echoing past make nerves stand on edge -- and lips catch grimly at the statement. Had he been staring?
No doubt, there was enough tragedy in this stranger to drown even those in his proximity. That was likely why nobody sat with the man. Nobody approached, intrigued by brooding mysteriousness so infamous for its apparent allure.
No, Thomas had seen enough to know that true solitude held no cheeky coyness or soulful stares. It was sharp. Jagged. Brittle and jarring, a bed of nettle and glass that sought to HURT any that came too close, the hound’s swiftness to bite over bark. It overflowed in infectious boil, rotting away the empty radius around him, a deep, gouging ache that burned every synapse. Even here, on opposing ends of bar’s short length, there collided the disdain of extroversion and swept away all amicability in their mutual tension.
Charming face. Bad attitude...this one reeks of troubled childhood.
A near silent scoff at the Spirit’s tentative observation. He’d indulge the prying into murmured echo nearly swallowed by this one’s shadow; get it! get it, dammit! there’s the leech - don’t let it out of your sight again. The gruffness of the remark wasn’t enough to deter Rekowicz from glowering stare. They mirrored one another in that--a cold detachment, the harshness of a set jaw and steeled gaze, he could recognize the expression of a man that knew everything going on around him. An awareness almost like his own. A man that had something to hide.
Ice catches against glass with quiet clink as its brought to lips, hovering for a prolonged moment before being finished off in a single breath. They’d both been aware of one another the moment the stranger had settled at the bar, undeniably, and it was beginning to grate on Thomas’ suspicion the same manner Henry’s presence once had. Whether this was another spy or simply one that had too much a past to want to trifle with meant little to the medium who was all too happy to drop payment and start off with a tug of his coat. Lingering taught nothing. There were people here, enough to dissuade a direct assault, too few to really be of any real assistance against a seasoned tracker.
He worked better alone. A catch of the hand was all it took -- best to do it in the dark, fewer witnesses that way.
Still, there remained enough to spare a response, if only to entice a bothered mind. He ensured to pass smoothly, though it was closer than necessary, swinging arm nearly brushing the frayed threads of a well worn jacket.
“See if I give a fuck, pijawka.”
@fanaiceach | did you ask for this? no, did i write it anyway? yes.
It had been some time since Sean had last taken to the streets of London so late. Not since William . . . since he had lost his mortality and gained so much more than he ever anticipated. Sean wasn’t afraid, no, but he had felt it necessary to immerse himself in the shelter following his near-death experience. To ground his spirit in the work that that needed doing before venturing out once more to seek wayward souls.
He had just finished cleaning when he felt a tug in his chest. The feeling was familiar, and one he knew not to ignore –– a sign from above that he was meant to follow. So he puts away the broom and folds the last of the linens before walking out the front doors. He never feared the night or the dangers hidden in the shadows, even before becoming what he now was. His faith protected him and he still firmly believed in such as he started walking with no particular destination in mind. He passes homes where the candles flicker in windowpanes and he passes homes darkened from the loss of life, taken by the flu or otherwise. Sean pauses in front of one, gazing at the overgrown weeds, thinking about how hard it was to see a loss of life to such an extent. An entire family line taken.
A sound to his left startles him out of his reverie and Sean turns towards it. There’s a small alleyway beside the vacant home and he steps into it without hesitation, searching for the source of the groaning. Ah, there. On the ground lies a figure, shrouded in the shadows that stretch across the cobblestone. Sean walks closer, crouching down beside them and reaching out to gently turn them over, seeing a man who appears sickly and suffering.
“Come now, I have somewhere safe for you to rest.” He speaks softly, keeps his touch as gentle as his words as he guides him to sit up, maneuvering one of the man’s arms behind his neck. The man is much taller than him, but Sean takes the brunt of his weight easily as he wraps one arm around the stranger’s waist and holds onto the wrist near his shoulder with the other. He walks him back to the shelter like that, taking careful steps so as not to hurt him any further.
“My name is Sean, I’ll look after you.” He introduces himself as they get closer to what he called home. As he nears the shelter he’s relieved to find Lottie still awake, watching for him. She unlocks the doors and allows them entrance, hurrying to shut and latch them once they’re inside. He whispers his thanks to her before taking the man to the back room, lying him down in his own bed. They were full up and it was the only bedding left. He’d need to get some clean water and a towel for the man, perhaps some food should he be able to stomach it.

12 what was the first fandom that you roleplayed witin? final fantasy x, and i still stand by the fact that baby me had absolutely no business rping a 35 yo man at the time, but baby me thought she knew everything so here we are.
22 what have you learned by proxy of roleplaying and rp researching? the answer is, honestly, i don't think we have time for me list it all, and even if we did, i probably couldn't remember what was actually for rp and what was for academic stuff, but i will also say i have learned way more about things like string theory, the way physics starts to break down the further from the immediately observable space around us we get, engineering in general, mechanical engineering in specific, the local flora of southern indiana, public elementary school in the 1920s/30s in manhattan, welding, what it takes to create a circuit board from scratch, transistors!, plate armor in theory and practice, polo, the entirety of the town of shelbyville, indiana, motorcycles used by the us army in wwii, chicken keeping, pulp sci fi through the 60s, dual citizenship, the international adoption process, spycraft, blacksmithing, and the process of bespoke high end clothing than i ever, ever wanted to know.
