Hello everyone! I’m a day late to the #tslgbtq meet up but I hope I can still be a part of it! My name is Michael and I’m a 17 year old trans and queer boy.
Ive known about Thomas for a long time but only began really getting into his content a few months ago.
(TW: death, abandonment, self harm mention)
These past few months have been a real struggle for me on any way you can imagine. I’ve had such a tough time figuring out exactly who I am and what labels fit me best. My mom had intense back surgery 3 months ago and that was so hard for my entire family to deal with. My great grandmother passed at age 104. People I consider to be close friends have walked out of my life and there were times that I was totally alone. I had a few close calls with relapsing in self harm.
But no matter what happened, no matter how low I may feel, no matter how much I didn’t want to be alive, at the end of the day I turned on my computer and Thomas wad there. He was just on the other side of the screen.
What makes thomas so special and such a wonderful internet personality is that he never negitavely judges someone’s race, gender, sexuality, religion, body type, disability, etc. He makes a point to include almost every type of person in his content, which is not very common. He accepts and admires the differences in people and never fails to tell people that theyre beautiful.
And it’s cheesy to say “*insert content creator name here* helped me sooo much” but it’s true. Thomas has influenced me in the best ways possible. He’s taught me so much. Because of him, ive learned to accept and embrace my mental disorders, ive learned to love my body, ive learned that my gender and sexuality are valid no matter what. And with this wonderful help in these recent months, I’m proudly able to say that I’ve passed my 2 years clean from self harm.
Thomas is a one of a kind person. I absolutely love him in every way and I hope that some day I can tell that to him face to face.
I love you, Thomas Sanders.
