Gotta stop engaging with fandom in honest, good faith discussions
Cuz yall are either racist, stupid, or just not operating in good faith at all. Or some unholy combination of all three.

Writing a scene like "The people gonna misinterpret this. They gonna make it gay" 🫤
Now I'm not in the CaitVi fandom at all but skimming this post this part jumped out at me:
Oh, Caitlyn 100% gets bitch duty'd by some of the fandom as A Vessel Vi Can Fuck. Reminds me a lot of the most annoying part of trying to find Willow/Tara fic in my teens, or why I didn't end up reading Brittana fic despite being a huge fan-- a lot of people treated half of these pairings (Tara, Brittany) as like "vessel for <character I like> to experience lesbianism" as opposed to fully realized characters.
Because it definitely seems a trend with a number of femslash ships. Swan Queen is another that comes to mind where Emma more often than not got relegated to "vessel for <character I like> to experience lesbianism" duty.
Anyways Rio Vidal is a fun character.
Fascinating to see the difference between Sunrise on the Reaping and Songbirds & Snakes
SOTR: lots of analysis and commentary on the new information we got, the rebellion, current political parallels
TBOSAS: everybody is REALLY thirsty for young Coriolanus
Recently read a fic that had a scene that basically encompasses my frustrations with modern fandom treatment of Ink in fanfiction.
It was a reader insert one, that I’m not gonna specify what it was about because 1) I don’t wanna send harassment to the author and 2) I didn’t read the whole thing bc well I couldn’t it just made me too upset.
But the scene in question, or rather couple of scenes, was that the reader, who was living with Error, had just recently witnessed him murder several innocent civilians in an AU, the fic going out of its way to mention the screams of parents and children as they were killed.
And soon after, when the Star Sanses arrive to stop him, at one point the reader’s internal dialogue BLAMES INK’S “Creating too much” (cuz the fic operated on FGOD fanon bc of course it did. Not even tagged as FGOD mind you) for Error “”having”” to destroy AUs and kill innocents. Basically shifting ALL THE BLAME for Error’s actions into Ink because… neglecting the balance or something. Because obviously Error doesn’t want this right? He must be forced into it!!1! /s 🙄
We’re making Error out to be the victim at Ink’s expense again folks! 🙃
It was especially frustrating because NOT EVEN A FEW PARAGRAPHS AGO we had gotten a whole description of just how upset the reader was when Error was destroying and the sheer suffering of the inhabitants. But then they turn around and just, defend him??? Because what, Ink was being a little bit cocky????
Tbh I’m tired of the “UwU sympathetic protag Error, meanie unsympathetic antagonist Ink” trope already. It’s no longer subversive to popular fandom convention, it’s virtually the norm now.
the idea that "i love this character" equals "i want to hurt them so bad" is. i'm so tired. my brain doesn't work that way and the idea is so ubiquitous anymore, it's near constant and assumed universal in so many spaces and. i'm. so tired.
It’s so annoying when people talk about respecting privacy and not posting the photos because they only say that about Richard & Froy. When Richard is papped on his own, they’ll post it, if he’s papped with family or anyone else they’ll post it but with Froy it’s a big NO!
They clearly don’t care about what’s posted online, yeah they’re private and don’t like talking about it but they aren’t stupid or ignorant to the fact that they know they’ll be put on the internet when they are in public (sometimes) but they literally do not care, they aren’t trying to hide! When he said he wants privacy he means not being asked in interviews or posting their relationship all over social media, being papped together (with no affection) doesn’t count because there’s nothing invasive about it.
I mean yes and no, of course they are entitled to basic privacy whether they’re being affectionate or just walking. but walking on a public street or to their car at an extremely busy and popular restaurant is like, come on. we have three different occasions of photos of them in the middle of the day, in broad daylight, near businesses and busy streets.
the occasions where their residence has been located and people have waited outside where they’re staying, however…yes they make me feel bad. they should not do that, and they should be able to carry bags to their car or pick up the mail at home without getting papped. some of them don’t have an ethical boundary about that, and that’s the big problem.
but yes, the hypocrisy of the fans who gloat about not posting those images, even though they’re obviously just looking at them on some other account that does…like good for you, what do you want, a cookie?
