saiki k. is this something youve never heard of? The Disastrous Life of Saiki K/ 斉木楠雄のΨ難/ Saiki Kusuo no Sai-nan is a manga and anime series by Shūichi Asō. you can find the manga in a lot of places. the anime is on netflix! (theres also a live action movie but whatever)

Ghost Term Guide for Fanfiction (Incomplete)

I’ve been sitting on this for a while but here is a small guide for Ghost fans who are writing fiction :) 

I noticed there are a LOT of very specific terms that might be confusing to new members when it comes to fandom lingo- on top of there being a lot of religious garbs and other terminology! This is something I just made in my spare time with research. 

I will reblog and update this every so often. This is also just from MY personal research, but I will try to keep it as accurate and informed as possible.

Religious Garb:

(Note: A quick reminder that all of these garments can be subjected to various changes depending on the exact faith they are being used for. I tried to keep this as close to western Catholic and Christianity for the sake of simplicity and to match the exact religious themes used by the band.)

Alb - A typical priest’s robe or tunic, often plain and white. Usually long sleeved and ankle length with minimum decoration to symbolize purity. Sometimes worn plain or with a cincture. Albs are also worn over cassocks but under important vestments like the chasuble. (Papa III’s alb is the garment he wears with the lace gold sleeves under his chasuble.)

Amice - A white, square shaped linen cloth worn over the shoulders and under the alb or other vestments. In the middle ages it also served as a hood or cap. Typically worn during mass or new baptisms. 

Balaclava - Also called a ski mask or a bally. A head fitting cloth mask that usually has the mouth or eyes cut out. Typically worn under helmets of costume masks. (Used by nameless Ghouls under their masks.)

Bauta Mask - a style of Venetian Carnival mask. Marked by having no mouth, a full covering for the face, and a pointed chin and jaw line. (Black ones worn by the Era II Nameless Ghouls.) 

Biretta - A Square cap characterized by having three to four peaks and sometimes decorated with a decorative tuft. A cap’s color can also designate rank within a clergy: Red for Cardinals, Purple for Bishops, and Black for priests. Worn both for and outside of ceremony. (See Cardinal Copia’s pointed hat.)

Cappello Romano - (also called a Saturno) a wide brimmed hat with no ceremonial purpose. Just used as a sun hat when paired with a cassock. Designs change depending on the rank of the wearer. Popes typically wear red with gold detail. Black is the typical color for eveyone.

Ferula - or “Papal Ferula” is that staff carried and used only by the Pope, decorated with a knob on the top and a cross. (See Papa II’s staff with the Grucifex on top.) 

Habit - Clothing uniform worn by members of a religious order. In this case, a nun’s dress. 

Mitre - The ceremonial headdresses worn by Bishops and Abbots. Characterized by a pointed, two sided structure that is decorated at the base with lappets. Also worn by Cardinals and the Pope. Three different types exist and are all done for very different occasions. Mitres are typically white with varying degrees of decoration for the occasion. (See all the mitres worn by each Papa.) 

Rochets - a shorter, white linen tunic that is used by Cardinals and Bishops that is worn over the cassock. It has narrower sleeves and is often decorated with white lace or embroidery on the sleeves and ends of the garment. In Catholicism it is only worn by these higher clergymen and prelates as choir dress, as given permission to them by the Pope.

Vestments - Term for ceremonial clothing or clothing symbolizing religious office worn during service. Think Chasubles, stoles, etc. 

Wimple - headdress or veil worn by nuns. 

Zucchetto - A silky skullcap that resembles a hemispherical beret. They are colored based on rank. Retired and acting popes wear white, cardinals wear scarlet, Archbishops/bishops/abbots wear amaranth, and priests and deacons wear black.

Grucifex - The play on the Ghost Grucifex. The official symbol of the band and the clergy. An upside down cross decorated with a ‘G’ for Ghost. 

Ghuleh

Papa - The head of the Clergy and the Ghost project. Essentially an Anti-pope and unholy leader of the ministry. Also the lead singer of the band. 

Prime Mover - In lyrics, the title given to the nun who will go on to birth the Antichrist. In fandom terms it is often given to the mothers of the Emeritus line. 

Ritual - The name given to the band’s concerts. 

Sisters/Brothers/Siblings/Children of Sin - The members of the congregation of the Church of Ghost.

How to improve your f1umblr expierence

I feel like lately a lot of f1 fans on tumblr are having a hard time and  dont feel good. And that makes me sad because f1umblr brought me so much joy and I met so man fantastic people because of it. So I thought about some things that maybe help to make people enjoy it again. 

• unfollow people: Tumblr can be really overwhelming when you follow a lot of blog's, especially when all of them post the same stuff 27382 times so sorting out the the list of people you follow can already help a lot. Try to have a good mix. I only follow 70 blogs atm only half of them are Motorsport related. If you think you could miss stuff about your favourites, follow an account who basically reblogs everything about that driver/team. 

• filter hashtags: when you notice that posts about certain driver's or topics make you feel uncomfortable or upset you, filter their tags so you only will see that the post is about then but not the post (Tumblr really should change that because when I filter stuff I don't want to read the names all the time) according to that tag your own posts right. Don't tag driver's in it that aren't part of the post. Or tag everything with F1 when it has nothing to do with it. •block blogs: I don't even know how many blogs I blocked by now and I am not talking about bots and spam. There are just some people who like to make drama out of everything and I don't need that kind of negative energy. This is not the real life you are allowed to block people who make you feel bad. Actually scratch that you also should do that in real life. 

•spend less time on Tumblr: having a smaller list of blogs you follow automatically means that even if you weren't online for some hours it won't take long to get up to date with what everyone posted. Also I prefer not to be online during a race but that's a personal preference. 

• ignore and delete hate anons: I really don't know why there are so many people who send hate anons in this fandom. What even is their point? I don't get it. But the best thing we can do is just ignoring these messages because then they don't get the attention they apparently need so badly. 

•treat people with kindness: this is not only a Harry styles thing it should be  everyone's highest moral value. Just be nice to others, there is a good chance they will be nice in return. Everyone deserves some basic respect. So please don't hate on people for no reason. • respect creator rights: don't take other people content and repost it as your own or even worse share it on other social media platforms ( it's okay if you ask the creatior and they say yes and you give them credit) • resect others oppinions: don't make others feel bad for the things they enjoy and that makes them happy, just because you don't like something it doesn't means everyone has to dislike it. Just because you don't support a driver for whatever reason doesn't mean nobody is allowed to support them especially when they acknowledge it if there is a reason for why they probably not support this driver because of values and other problematic stuff. It's about being a reflective person. Cancel culture isn't as cute as all of you make it look. It actually can be really hurtful. feel free to add more points.

A Reylo’s Guide to Tagging

Are you new to the Reylo fandom? Are you extremely overwhelmed or nervous about posting because you don’t know how to tag? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there, and it’s not as daunting as you may think. Let’s get you tagging.

This post was made on October 23rd, 2017, and it refers to the current Tumblr updates on Desktop. I don’t know if this will change anytime soon, but if it does I will try to update this guide. Please reblog so the newer Reylos will see this, and please check out our other stuff! (Guide under the cut)

About tagging on Tumblr:

Tagging on Tumblr used to be very different, but now that it’s changed, it hasn’t been for the better. Previously, only the first five tags showed up in the searches, the rest being for sorting on your blog. For example, If I wrote out these tags

Only the first five tags would show up in searches.

Now, though, every single tag will show up in a search, which means if your 10th tag is “Luke Sk/walker”* because he’s only vaguely mentioned and you want to sort him on your blog, then everyone looking in the search will also see it.

This can be good for publicity, but it also means that content you don’t want to see will also show up in your tags.

*More explanation on why his name was censored up next.

How to tag:

Now that we covered how tagging works, we can move on to how (and how not to) tag. Due to this Tumblr update, we see a lot of stuff we don’t want to see in the Reylo tag. This includes any and all An/ti Reylo posts.

You may be wondering what the point of censoring words are. Well, due to the Tumblr tagging system, all phrases that include the word “Reylo” show up in the tag, including ant/ ones. Likewise, anytime we type anything that includes an uncensored “An/ti” and “Reylo” will also show up in their tags. This is why many people who want no interaction from an/tis whatsoever may censor, similar to what I do.

You can decide which you want to do, but there are some important rules to tagging in the fandom.

1. Do. Not. Crosstag.

You may not know what cross-tagging is. Basically it’s when someone puts the wrong tag on a post with the intent of making someone in that tag see it. For example, if you’re making a post about how you hate the an/tis and you tag it with an uncensored “An/ti Reylo” that would be crosstagging and you’re bound to see a few tell you to get off their tag. If this happens, simply remove the tag and move on. Likewise, if you see an an/ti crosstagging by tagging “Reylo” in a post that is An/ti Reylo, don’t be afraid to tell them to remove it if no one has already.

Important note: An/ti posts that show up in the Reylo tag but are tagged with “An/ti Reylo” and not “Reylo” are not considered intentional crosstagging. This is just how the tagging system works and they, just like us, can’t help it if their posts go into ours if they don’t censor.

Another thing you should remember is that you should not reply to properly tagged an/ti posts. Even if it happens to us, it gives us a bad image, and an/tis will bring it up every chance they get.

2. Avoid using main tags

Though it’s tempting to tag every post you make with the “Star W/rs” and other tags (Which include The L*st J/di and The F*rce Aw/kens), it can cause some backlash because a very, very large amount of people DO NOT want Reylo content in the main tag. Most Reylos will stick with the Reylo tag, so it’s better to stay in there. But when it comes to general content, such as gifs or character art, then it’s fine.

3. Avoid using character tags(???)

This is a highly debated one. On the one hand, tagging “Ky/lo R*n” and “R/ey” would be appropriate since the characters are the involved party, but on the other hand, you could get some major backlash from ant/is who don’t like it. In my opinion, if F*nnr*y and other ships can use the correct character tags, then we should be able to as well, but it’s all a matter of whether you want to avoid the discourse. But as always, if you do use character tags, use the correct ones (Don’t tag H*x or Ph*sma in a Reylo post that has nothing to do with it).

(I’m sure there are others, but those are the ones that seem to be the most relevant)

Great! Now that we’ve covered that, we can go on to how to tag! (I’m going to assume you’re at least a little bit familiar with Tumblr, but if you need further help on it, don’t hesitate to message me!)

First order of business, ask yourself what you’re posting is about. Is it a fic, art, a theory, or maybe even a meme? The essential tag for Reylo posts is obviously “Reylo”, but what beyond that? Well, that’s up to you. Do as many or as little tags as you like, just as long as it’s relevant to the post and not gleaning for notes (i.e. tagging something not relevant to H*rry P/tter as such).

There are also several common tags and phrases Reylos use, but one of the most used and popular ones is Ant* Reylo BS: (You can uncensor that) This is used when calling out stupidity among the an/ti community.

Blacklisting:

The last thing I wanna talk about is how to avoid certain tags. I would highly suggest downloading a Tumblr extension called xKit if you use Desktop frequently. There’s a feature on there called Blacklist, which you can use to block certain tags/phrases from showing up on your feed.  Go here to download (Don’t worry, it’s very popular and safe to use): https://new-xkit-extension.tumblr.com/ ; If you’re on mobile, there are other apps you can use, such as Tumblr savior.
