#fandom is universal

So on July 10th 2026, I got chatting to two women on the London Underground. They were incredibly cool and possibly Scottish or Scottish adjacent (Glasgow was mentioned, and Ben Nevis). They had been part of the Sherlock fandom in their younger days and are now part of the Terror fandom (or at least very invested. They thought season one was the best.)

I didn't mention my username or anything from my Sherlock says (beautifulfiction) but it was cool to spend ten minutes or so yapping about fandom and stuff.

I don't know who they were, but if either of you are out there, I hope you got where you were going!

I love it when you go to someone's Pixiv profile and their self-introduction is literally just licking Kotetsu repeatedly:
