There is a difference between someone who knows when a story is about friendship and that the creator always meant for the main characters to be platonic, but still wants to ship them anyway, and someone who says that there is "no platonic explanation" for the way the characters behave and that the ship is basically canon and the creator was either not allowed to show them romantically or is just in complete denial and doesn't know their own characters. One is just a person having fun in the sandbox and minding their own business, whom I, the platonic enjoyer, have no beef with, the other is obnoxiously telling everyone there's only one way to play, and who pisses me off.
