For all the yelling about "Think critically about the media you consume!!!!" I actually think people who enjoy problematic ships or media are able to have pretty nuanced discussions about the problems in their media, or what kind of impacts those elements would have on the individuals in the relationship.
As opposed to the anti approach, which is often that you MUSN'T acknowledge any flaws in your media or ships because once you admit that there are they have to go directly in the garbage, so it's better to pretend that there aren't any flaws.
"Thinking critically" isn't just "hate everything on sight", have you ever had to read a book for school?
