Pronouns Guide: Pal/Pear

This is my first guide of pronouns on this blog. I hope you find it helpful!

Requester: No one

Pal/Pear is a set of nounself pronouns inspired by Pear Pal from Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. They're gender-neutral and can be used by anyone regardless of their sex, gender identity, gender expression, queerness, or interests. These are singular pronouns, so they themselves use singular verbs. It was coined by me on August 10th, 2025.

Nominative: Pal

Accusative: Pal

Determiner: Pear

Predicative: Pears

Reflexive: Palself or Pearself

Vocative: Pal

Reflexive form doesn't require the "or" word, it just can either be Palself or Pearself.

Here are examples of how to use them:

"Pal collects lots of badges." (He collects lots of badges.)

"I, along with pal, went to our friend's house." (I, along with him, went to our friend's house.)

"This is pear friend." (This is his friend.)

"Is that hat pears?" (Is that hat his?)

"Pal wants to do it by palself" or "Pal wants to do it by pearself" (He wants to do it by himself.)

"Pal, this is all your fault!" (Sir, this is all your fault!)
