NeoproGuide is an informative blog designed to have posts that are guides about neopronoun sets, like their descriptions, how to use them, their pronunciations, info about their coinings and origins, and examples of their usage.

Rules

You can use neopronouns I've coined, without asking me for permission or crediting me.

I accept requests for pronoun guides! Please be patient if you want to give me a request.

Neopronouns, varipronouns, xenopronouns, nameself pronouns, nounself pronouns, technopronouns, numberself pronouns, etc. are allowed! I don't accept pronouns that are used to mock/disrespect minorities.

AI artists, anti-AI individuals, queer individuals, cisgender individuals, heterosexual individuals, intersex individuals, disabled individuals, and therians are free to interact with me, as long as they aren't on my DNI criteria! Basically, people who fit under the criteria are allowed to interact with me and aren't in my DNI criteria, as long as they are also not on my DNI list below.

https://gendercensus.com - An annual survey intended to collect information about people's queer genders, pronouns, honorific titles, etc. I use this to collect/discover genders/sexes and neopronouns.

https://lgbtqia.wiki - A Miraheze wiki which is a helpful resource for LGBTQIA+ terms and labels, including questioning labels and sexes.

https://neopronounlist.carrd.co - A comprehensive Carrd list of neopronouns from a pronoun list on a Tumblr blog. Choose which category you want the neopronouns' themes to be of, and it will show you the respective neopronouns. https://pronoun.fandom.com - A FANDOM wiki which is about pronouns. It doesn't only inform readers of pronoun sets and how to use them, it also informs them of pronoun and name terminologies.

Pronouns Guide: Shi/Hir

This is my fourth guide of pronouns on this blog. I hope you find it helpful!

Requester: No one

Shi/Hir is a set of gender-neutral pleopronouns that are a combination of she/her and he/him pronominal sets. Its history of being used to fetishize intersex people made it intersex-exclusive. These are singular pronouns, so they themselves use singular verbs. It was said to be first reclaimed by an anonymous 4chan user.

One of the earliest examples of these pronouns being used was in the mid-1990s, where it was used for "hermaphroditic" characters on pornographic websites. Specifically, they can be traced back to a man named Bernard Doove, who would use the pronouns for chakats, his fictional species. The set would later be picked up by the wider furry community in the early 2000s for other "hermaphrodite" characters.

On July 14th of 2013, a post by mogai-flaggot was made and describes the pronoun set. The shi/hir flag is also included.

Pronouns Guide: He/Her

This is my third guide of pronouns on this blog. I hope you find it helpful!

Requester: No one

He/Her is a set of non-themed varipronouns. It is a mix of he/him and she/her, and can also be considered a modified version of the she/her pronoun set, where the 's' is removed in the nominative form, resulting in it being the word "he" and making it androgynous. However, they can be used by anyone regardless of their sex, gender identity, gender expression, queerness, or interests. These are singular pronouns, so they themselves use singular verbs.

It is unknown who coined it and when it was coined, but the earliest found mention of the exact pronoun set dates back to February 20th 2015, although the post also said that @/harpereaves mentioned the pronoun set, so it may have existed on or before that date.

Nominative: He

Accusative: Her

Determiner: Her

Predicative: Hers

Reflexive: Herself

Pronouns Guide: Age/Ages

This is my second guide of pronouns on this blog. I'm also sorry for not posting on this blog for a very long while, and I hope you find it helpful!

Age/Ages is a set of nounself pronouns based on the word "age". They're gender-neutral and can be used by anyone regardless of their sex, gender identity, gender expression, queerness, or interests. These are singular pronouns, so they themselves use singular verbs. It was coined by neopronouns-list on August 12th, 2022.

Nominative: Age

This is my first guide of pronouns on this blog. I hope you find it helpful!

Pal/Pear is a set of nounself pronouns inspired by Pear Pal from Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. They're gender-neutral and can be used by anyone regardless of their sex, gender identity, gender expression, queerness, or interests. These are singular pronouns, so they themselves use singular verbs. It was coined by me on August 10th, 2025.

Nominative: Pal

Accusative: Pal

Determiner: Pear

Predicative: Pears

Reflexive: Palself or Pearself

Vocative: Pal

Reflexive form doesn't require the "or" word, it just can either be Palself or Pearself.

Here are examples of how to use them:

"I, along with pal, went to our friend's house." (I, along with him, went to our friend's house.)

"This is pear friend." (This is his friend.)

"Is that hat pears?" (Is that hat his?)
