Mod M: Was HP fandom's trickster based on the ferret apocalypse that happened in fandomstuck?

I was not aware of the ferret apocalypse! I'm actually kind of new to the whole fandomstuck thing. I'm more basing the Alternate forms on a canon altered state within their fandom universe. In Harry Potter's case, it's the tale of the dancing Draco ferret.
