Fanfic Problems

Do y’all ever try to look for a specific kind of fic and either find maybe two fics but they’re either short/incomplete OR there’s just a plethora of really bad ones? Cuz same.

Shipping Problems

When you ship two characters from a show that hasn’t came out yet, which mean there aren’t a lot of fan fictions out there to read about that ship.

Stories that involve pregnancies

Okay.... so this is super random but I feel impulsive enough to talk about this right now. First and foremost, this is not a bash to ANYONE who enjoys or doesn't mind stories/fanfics that end in or involve pregnancy of the main characters(s) this is just something I am actually curious about to see if I am just plain weird or not. So, when I am reading a book or a fanfic of my favorite characters, if the story takes a turn and the main female lead gets impregnated I immediately will drop it. Not out of hate or repulsiveness but because I completely lose interest. I THINK the reason might be because some small part of me feels that the story is now no longer so much about the main character but the infant residing in her womb? And suddenly everything she was doing or everything she is trying to accomplish suddenly is changed and warped because it is now going to revolve all around the being inside of her? Idk. I am just wondering if I am the only one who does this because I see SO many fanfics in particular that will start out so good but then she will get pregnant and I will immediately shut down. Again, this is NOT a bash, everyone likes what they like and doesn't like what they don't like. Let me know if I am not weird!

Jimin Doesn’t Smell

So I was just minding my own business, reading random science stuff online — because technically I should be working, but remote work allows a certain level of… creative data processing, let’s say. And somewhere between reading fanfics and actual research papers (bad combo, trust me), I fell into a rabbit hole.

You know that general idea that “Asians smell nice”? We see it in dramas, skincare routines, all that perfect clean aesthetic — and we make it a stereotype. I did too. But I decided to fact-check it.

And—oh boy—it’s true. Ever heard of the ABCC11 gene? That tiny thing determines whether or not your sweat smells. And since 98% of Koreans carry the A/A variant, that means… Jimin does not smell.

I had to look it up because fanfic writers (especially from Europe or the US) keep making the same mistake. They’ll write lines like “the room reeked of sweat” or “I need a shower, I stink.” No, you don’t. Not if you’re Jimin.

We live in a world where deodorant after a shower is automatic. But in Korea, deodorant is barely even sold — because biologically, most people don’t need it.

So yeah, if you go to Korea and forget your deodorant, you might be in trouble. Not because you’ll stink, but because you won’t find it at the gas station.

Genetics is wild. Anyway, my main point: Jimin probably smells like violets. Okay, maybe not literally, but I’m 98% sure being in a gym with him is still more pleasant than standing next to any European guy after 15 minutes of cardio.

I love reading fanfiction and I would sometimes write them... but I hate the X Reader ones cuz it’s usually “You”, or the “Y/N” and it’s fucking annoying lol 😂
