How it feels making a masterlist for the first time

Am I the only fanfic writer out there who gets a lovely, almost embarrassingly positive comment and immediately disbelieves it? Like, I’m all ‘Well that’s a wonderful thing to say but I’m pretty sure you’ve written this on the wrong fic? Wait right there... I’m pretty sure you meant (insert other fic title here) but hey, thanks for popping by anyway’.

And yet as soon as I receive a negative comment I take it straight to heart, reach for the wine and cry myself to sleep?
