I like the term "fangirl" more than "fanboy" and I always have. A "fanboy" likes something, but a "fangirl" can talk about it for hours and devotes a large part of their life to it. A fangirl is someone who not only likes something but wants to be an active part of that something whether it be a band, tv show, book series, etc. I completely understand what it is about the use of the term "fangirl" that is getting people upset, but fangirls are fucking rad as shit. Ain't nothing gonna change that.
