One of my favorite recurring moments in the ACOTAR series is how tuned Feyre is into Elain and Azriel. Whether it’s painting a scene of them in her mind or recognizing how well they complement each other, she continously wonders about them, and I can't help but do the same.  

In Silver Flames we have Nesta catching onto how Azriel is feeling towards Elain. Yet another sister connects the two...perhaps leading us to do the same.

It all begs the question that fascinates me most: Do we follow an arguably unwelcome expectant fate, or do we dare defy it?

Sisterhood : Day 2 | Nuala & Cerridwen Week

“She scanned Elain from head to toe, wondering if she’d been taking lessons in stealth either from Azriel or the two half-wraiths she called friends.”

We’re so excited to hopefully see some more spy work in action in the future books, and see more of these two! Hopefully we’ll see them teaching some spying to Elain, or going on missions together 👀

Elain is easily one of my favorite characters. The way she is written is so beautifully nuanced and subtle. Her quiet strength and perseverance to rise above the label people have shoved her into all in the name of “protecting” her is perfect. She is so criminally overlooked because shes quiet and unassuming and as a woman I feel that so deeply, even when she was warning them in ACOWAR with her visions that all came to pass everyone but Azriel brushed her off as crazy(why their relationship is so perfect fyi). Her story is going to blow us all away and I for one, cannot wait to watch her haters eat their words. I mean, how insanely interesting is a Seer?? Boring is the last adjective I would use. And her clear set up of choosing love over fate and being a spy with Nuala, Cerridwen and Azriel?? Her upcoming story is one of the most unique and intriguing i have seen in a while.

NUALA

In Celtic mythology, Nuala is the name of a fairy queen who embodies grace and enchantment. This association with the fairy queen adds an ethereal quality to the name. It evokes a sense of magic and wonder, reflecting the belief in ancient folklore and the enduring ties between the natural and supernatural realms.

The etymology of Nuala can be traced back to the Old Irish name “Fionnghuala,” which combines “fionn,” meaning “fair” or “white,” and “guala,” meaning “shoulder.”

In modern Irish storytelling, Nuala means “born of the sea”.

Cerridwen is a Welsh feminine name with roots in Celtic mythology. Its origins can be traced back to the Welsh words “cerridd” meaning “cauldron” and “gwen” meaning “white” or “fair.” Together, these words form the meaning “white cauldron” or “fair cauldron.”
