Red, green, orange~
Red: What makes my muse angry.
After everything that happened with Lambda, Richard tries very hard to keep a close rein on his anger. However, it still angers him to see people made to suffer or belittled by others. He is quick to get upset and defend any misdeeds or ill words against the things and people that he cares for. Any who speak ill or intend harm to his friends or his kingdom are likely to earn his ire as are any who dare to threaten either.
Green: What would make my muse jealous.
Richard does not think especially highly of himself, and as such there is very little that he feels he deserves at all, much less over someone else. He tends to envy characteristics rather than material objects, such as Asbel’s ability to openly trust others, or the capacity to make another smile, but I would not say he is outright jealous of these things. I think, however, he could grow jealous should his friends devote their time and attention to another to his exclusion, but more than jealousy he would convince himself that he didn’t deserve their attention in the first place.
Orange: What gets my muse excited.
There is little that gets Richard excited as the opportunity to spend time with his friends. Most things that excite him tie back to this, for even activities he enjoys are seldom exciting if he faces them alone. He gets particularly excited over the prospect of planning activities for his friends and tends to go overboard in doing so. Surprise parties and visits are a particular favourite. He also gets excited over his favourite food (natto on toast).
Richard and Asbel are the biggest cutie-faces in the whole wide world (and I maybe ship him with sophie a teensy tiny bit)
[Yes, I find Asbel’s friendship with Asbel so incredibly powerful. He has become such an important figure and support in Richard’s life that were anything to happen to his best friend, I’ve little doubt he would fall apart in turn. I could likely talk your ears off about how much I adore the dynamic between these two, thus I will spare you for now. Friendship feelings!!]
[While I can’t say I see these two in a romantic light personally, I do adore the manner in which he is a big brother to her. After the way he made her suffer, he wishes for her happiness more than anything.]
fangirl-dream asked you:
"Whew! That's a relief, I was kinda worried after I messed up all your stuff the last time I was there. I thought you'd be working your butt off to catch up. ^_^;"
"No, it was very little trouble. I have taken to attempting to Pascal-proof my work space so as not to repeat the incident."
A knowing smile crossed Hubert's face as he approached the Amarcian Enclave. He figured she would be where she always was, so he stationed himself there and gave a quick, sharp knock.
When the next reply came, it was a bit more familiar in appearance. "Busy busy ya knw? Way too much stuff goin on in the ol noggin. Fouriers back at her lab w valkines research n Poissons doing overseer stuff so its really quiet. Got a great idea for a new way to cook stuff but it went kaboom today haha! I miss everybody a lot Hu it's really boring without you"
(no icons cuz I’m at work maybe I’ll add one later)
He stared at the message for a good few moments, letting his feelings wash over him. Relief. Concern. Frustration. Then, with a soft sigh, he rose, grabbing his coat off its spot on the rack and tossing it around his shoulders.
"New way to cook stuff? Dare I ask?"
The door shut quietly behind him.
Normally anything received via communicator from Pascal was long-winded and full of more made-up words and icons than could possibly be translated at a glance. The message floating down to Hubert today, by comparison, was startlingly concise. "I can't sleep."
A million thoughts ran through his head. She was hurt. She was upset. This was another one of those silly games she played with him. Did she come to him first? Was he that important to her? Was some silly idea keeping her up?
A quick glance out the window. It was dark, and he could feel his eyelids drooping in idle moments.

"Talk to me," came the reply.
♚
"Pascal, what are you-"
He halted his words when he found the Amarcian sound asleep next to him, her weight pressing slightly against his arm. He sighed, an expression that faded into a defeated smile. With all the boundless energy that she exuded, really was it any wonder she could fall asleep so quickly? This might quite possibly be the quietest he’d ever seen her, her faint snoring and muttering excluded, of course.
With little else demanding his attention and the others not yet back from their excursion, Richard returned to the book he had been reading, paying special attention to create as little movement as possible. Not that he supposed it truly mattered. Like all else she did, Pascal threw herself headlong into her sleep with everything she had.
I could see him having a small fear of heights after that tumble off the cliff in his childhood.
"Truth be told, heights don’t especially bother me. Though I was additionally cautious of ledges after that particular incident, I still visited the hill north of Barona quite often without any difficulty."
"That may very well have been for the best. Were I afraid of heights, I’d not have done especially well riding the Dispaters as I did with Lambda. I had enough fear and hatred driving me at that time, I truly hate to think of what I might have been like adding more of it."
