Here's my question. What is Alex pretending not to know? like what is he in denial about others and why is he deceiving himself? if it delves too much into a story-line you don't want to reveal yet than how about this question. in what ways is he being perceived that he isn't aware about ? like, what does he think that other people think of him? even if its not in his nature to care, if he was, what would it be?

If anything, Alexandre’s under the impression the members of the creed don’t like him because he comes from a noble bloodline. While in some cases this is true, in most times it isn’t. Alexandre’s just not the easiest person to approach and he’s often somewhere by himself so people see little of him. 

Then you have someone like Arno, who is the same but clearly people have taken a liking to him because there isn’t a place Arno can go in the city without someone calling his name. This annoys him more than he lets on because Arno doesn’t discreetly hide his nobility. Arno has many building, lots of money and spends it on lots of things. 

It’s not an issue of jealousy but he finds it unfair. He makes it a point to live modestly, having only things he really needs do his job but people will look down on him because he comes/acts/interacts with nobles while Arno’s just as noble and shows it off more but people like him.

((Well as a nobleman he would have had to take dance lessons growing up, that paired with how elegant he is when he fights I’d say he is a pretty good dancer))
