There's really not much to talk about regarding the comic so I didn't do a What's Up Wednesday about it but I think I'mma do some kind of little side art thing of the characters to offer a bit more lore and also just enjoy drawing them in circumstances that are a bit friendlier. Other than the zine, I mean. Working on that still too.
New sketch and page finally up!

More character stuff! Featuring Blaine this time!
Back in the day, when I first created the three main characters of Fangsters, Blaine (another white, straight cis guy originally) was always the sensible one. He was the oldest and most mature and often the vampire that Riley (the main girl in my original stories for them) would go to when she was having problems with Damian (her LI) and wanted to understand more about him and vampirekind as a whole. He was sort of a big brother figure despite also being a potential LI for her. He was always British but I can't remember if that was because of Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Robbie from the Georgia Nicholson diaries. Ah, well.
I briefly tried having Blaine as the LI for Riley and...if you thought Twilight was boring, well...uh...I somehow made an even more boring version? I think I even had him and Greg as brothers that were always in competition with each other at one point? It's a blur and, honestly, that's probably a good thing.
Now, I want to make it clear that as cool and sweet as I find Assad Zaman (who is playing a fantastic Armand in the latest incarnation of Interview With The Vampire), he was not actually the direct inspo for making my current version of Blaine British Indian. I know, right? Bigger coincidence than 2 Avatars being released in the same year, ain't it? I will say that the re-imagining of the classic Gothic tale did make me kind of wake up and realize I totally could make more than one vampire not white, though. Representation really does matter and I could have used so much more of this energy when I was a dorky, vampire-obsessed kid that thought I wasn't white enough to be Goth. Anyway....
No, believe it or not, most of the credit for Blaine being British Indian and from the 1800s falls to...a rather cringe little series I've doubt any of you have ever heard of. It's this overblown, over-hyped probs-going-to-be-canceled-soon thing called...Hazbin Hotel.
Look, don't come for me. I really wanted to like it, okay? I just...don't. That's neither here nor there. What is here is I heard a certain character was going to be made British Indian when he was alive and...let's just say that I don't trust like that anymore.
So, Blaine was reborn (re...undeaded?) as the responsible big brotherly vampire who actually isn't the oldest anymore (that's Greg) and also happens to be trans and bi this time around.
Blaine ramble incoming.

New page as promised (for $10 tier and higher).
Now, I also have a proposition:
Lower prices on tiers, perhaps next month? The comic and poll tiers, specifically. I'm still considering it. What do y'all think? I can't completely make the comic for free, but maybe slightly cheaper is what I'm saying.
True to form, I've made a playlist for the comic. Still adding songs to it but there's already quite a bit on here:
Debating whether or not I should make a YT one as well since Spotty kinda...yeah.
For now, here it is.
