BALLAD OF SAN MARCOS

Fallout FL, or “Ballad of San Marcos,” is a conceptual dlc I’ve had in my head for a WHILE since 2023, after Florida’s whereabouts was namedropped in Death Shroud, a fanon radio play that featured the main voice actors and directed by the producers of CHAD. Is all the information said in the play not canon? Yeah. However after they revealed what became of the state, I became incredibly invested in the “what could have been”s of the whole ordeal! Thus forward, I went along with what was said with a bit of my own interpretations; keeping the idea of it being a shitshow of different factions all competing with one another constantly.

With that being said, these guys are part of the northern sector of the state, based in St. Augustine if the title of the dlc didn’t give it away! Known as the Coastal Infantry, they specialize in protecting the historical architecture and landmarks of the coast (duh) and northern areas. Since the waters rose, most buildings had either been rotted or completely decimated, and so with the last structures left, they serve as a nostalgic yet painful reminder to those in the force of a time before them as all important files are kept in the surviving forts. Soldiers are fitted into old preserved reenactment gear, and only now are attempting to contact outsider states and their respective factions despite their previous solitary attitude.

However, in the dlc, their numbers have since dwindled, though what future awaits them is decided on you…

The Faction that is neither friends nor enemies to most races; they're sort of independence mafia gangs scattered around, causing troubles, while also offering services to those with good price.
